Good question. Basically, whenever a member is logged in, goes through the merchant's page to reach the merchant's homepage, and makes a purchase without violating any merchant restrictions, then a link is established that identifies us with the purchase and makes us eligible for a commission. It can take a merchant up to 3 weeks after the ship date to report your purchase to us. When the merchant pays us the commission, we share with our members in the form of Cash Back.

Unfortunately, there isn't any way to tell whether your purchase qualified for Cash Back until the merchant reports it. If the merchant doesn't report it after 3 weeks past the ship date, please send us a support ticket and we will be glad to look into it for you.

Do you need a certain number of posts before you can rate a post?

Nope. You can give red, green, or yellow to identify how much value you find in a post right now.

Can I mark an archived forum topic as a favorite? Normally, I believe there is a button at the top of the page to mark it as a favorite but I don't see it in this case.

Yes, normally there is a button at the top. Archived threads are different, and without that button you will not be able to mark it as a favorite. Sorry.

Probably a stupid question but how do reps/ratings work? Once I rep someone, is it just for that individual post or does it stick with their profile? Under user profiles it doesn't show ratings/rep history...could anyone clear up the purpose of reps? Thanks!

Dawizard, FW does not use a reputation system. You can rate posts, but that rating does not follow the user's profile. If you do want to rate a post, look just above and to the right of any post. You'll see 3 circles, one red with a minus, one yellow with a dot, and one green with a plus. The system defaults to yellow/neutral. If you want to rate it positively, hit the green circle, if you want to rate it negatively hit the red one. The rating updates realtime. You can see the post rating just above the text of the post to the right of the avatar (in modern view). It will say "rated:" and show the accumulated ratings in green or red. If you want to see who voted and how, click the color bar. I rated your post green as an example.

I was looking for the "old" Compare Price tool, has that gone away with the site upgrade, or am I just missing it?

alert mods

Unfortunately, we no longer have that. You can do the same thing at pricegrabber.com though.

Where is the archived forum?

alert mods

O4P, the archives aren't one forum. Each forum that exists now or has in the past has an archived section. To access the archives, you cansearch for the info you want. Jus be sure to choose the archived radio button below the search term textbox.

I know a website that gives away $20 a week in a raffle for doing a Scavenger Hunt Online. Is there anywhere I can post this?

Never mind. Found the answer above. Off to Pricegrabber I guess.

I just tried to post an REI freebie, but I don't see it in the forum. I have the filter messages set to all, but don't see it. Can anyone advise me where I failed? I previewed first, and then hit post. I saw the new user notice message both times.

It may have come up for moderator approval, so the problem was likely that you couldn't see it at first because the on-duty moderator had not yet approved it for public viewing.

I have a question that I can't find the answer for. I rented a car with Priceline.com last week. CashBack was reported, but reported as $0.00! What's up with that? I can't ask through the CashBack investigation because it hasn't been three weeks; and it has been reported anyway. Does anyone know why the CashBack would be nothing? I rented a car a few weeks ago, through Priceline then too, and got the CashBack reported with no problem.

They should adjust it some time before three weeks past the hotel checkout date or the rental car dropoff date. If you have completed your trip and three weeks have passed, make sure to let us know and we'll look into it for you.
