More Than Tex-Mex
What started as an answer to the overflow crowds from a neighboring restaurant, is now a raved about local favorite -- complete with visiting Ohioans who wish they had one of their own up north. Owner Rafael Acosta left Yucatan in the '50s, later started Merida, and hasn't stopped serving Mayan- and Mexican-inspired dishes since. Handed-down family recipes serve as the base of this menu, while the checkered tablecloths and welcoming greeting at the door do much to keep that family feeling alive and well.
