In Pilates reformer-tower classes, four to six students join their instructor for a 60-minute sweatfest employing equipment such as mats, reformer machines, and tower machines. Beginners take the first steps toward mastering breathing and activating their cores as they perform basic mat work and machine-assisted exercises. Intermediate classes incinerate calories with considerably more intense workouts that deeply activate the core muscles during warm-ups, preparing them to perform exercises on mats, towers, and reformers.
