Narrated by a Coast Guard–certified tour captain, trips cover approximately 200 miles with intermittent stops throughout the day. Passengers learn Native American history, local geology, and the stories of Hells Canyon, including a historical walking tour at Kirkwood Ranch and museum. Coffee, iced tea, and lemonade are available at each of the day's periodic stops, and trips include a boxed lunch with a deli sandwich, potato chips, and a cookie. Tours depart at 8 a.m., return by 6 p.m. that evening, and are free for children 8 and younger.
