Since 1976, Ballet Hawaii has enriched our local cultural environment by teaching, promoting, and presenting dance. See how this Hotel Street non-profit organization builds self-confidence in each and every dancer who passes through its doors:
o $10 ($20 value) for a one-hour introduction to circus arts class on February 24
Dancers, ages 7 to 12, will discover the wonders of ballet and gymnastics in this beginner-level class. Choose your class time at 1, 2, 3, or 4 p.m. for a great way to introduce your child to dance.
o $27 ($55 value) for four Tutu, Mommy, & Me classes
Tighten and tone your body, while spending quality time with your little one, 6 months to 3 years old. The fundamentals of dance are combined with popular yoga and Pilates technique, jazz, social dance, and musical theatre moves to ignite a love of music in adults and children alike. Children develop coordination while Mom gets a workout. This class is held Saturday, 10 to 10:45 a.m.
o $30 ($60 value) for five adult ballet classes
A challenging combination of stretching and strengthening exercises, these classes were designed to improve body tone while learning to execute basic ballet technique. You'll develop cardiovascular stamina, greater flexibility, and better posture while learning to think about just how we use our bodies. Classes are held throughout the week.
