$10 Donation to Help Sterilize Homeless Animals
The Issue: Companion Animals Facing Euthanasia
Each year, euthanasia in overcrowded animal shelters claims the lives of about three to four million homeless dogs and cats, according to data from The Humane Society of the United States. The organization names spaying or neutering animals as a proven way to help reduce pet overpopulation and the deaths that result from it.
The Campaign: Spaying or Neutering Cats and Dogs
If three people donate $10 to this Grassroots campaign, then Rude Ranch Animal Rescue, Inc. can spay or neuter one homeless cat or dog. For every 20 animals the ranch hands spay or neuter, the birth of nearly 100,000 cats or dogs over the next decade can be prevented, according to data from the ASPCA. Each additional $25 raised will provide a spay or neuter procedure for another animal.
