Students spin molten glass around the tip of a long metal rod, and then mold and shape the glowing goo over the furnace’s open flames, pausing only to make room for impatient Boy Scouts roasting marshmallows. Students can personalize their projects and couples on Valentine's dates can make something one-of-a-kind by shaping glass into a paperweight, vase, mug, or bowl, and tinting it with vibrant colors.
