Broadway darling Karen Mason and conductor Michael Berkowitz join the Princeton Symphony Orchestra for a musical homage to Judy Garland’s life and career in “Broadway POPS!: The Garland Magic.” Having recently wowed audience ears as the Queen of Hearts in Wonderland on Broadway, Mason spends the evening interpreting Garland’s Carnegie Hall concert, bringing classics such as “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” “Get Happy,” and “Over the Rainbow” to euphonic life. Berkowitz, who has long collaborated with Garland’s daughter, Liza Minnelli, leads the orchestra through Nelson Riddle and Mort Lindsey arrangements.
