Seven-Night Mediterranean Cruise with Stops in Rome, Palermo, and Tunisia
The western Mediterranean is home to some of the world’s most beautiful places. Ancient art and cathedrals decorate Italy’s western coast. Soft, white-sand beaches line the south of France. Markets and museums dot the Spanish coastline. On this seven-night cruise, you’ll get a chance to explore Europe’s scenic coastal regions, as well as the Tunisian port city in North Africa. The tour also includes all meals aboard the ship, as well as a post-cruise trip—choose between one night in Rome or a four-night stay in Rome and Venice. Both land trips include accommodations and a hop-on, hop-off tour of Rome.
With this deal, you’ll take a transfer from the airport in Rome to the port in Civitavecchia, where you’ll board either the MSC Splendida (for departures through March 15) or the MSC Orchestra (for departures starting March 30). Both cruise ships feature luxurious amenities such as deck-top swimming pools, international restaurants, performance theaters, and gaming casinos.
The full itinerary for cruises on the MSC Splendida is different than the full itinerary for cruises on the MSC Orchestra, but both ships will make stops at cities in Italy, Spain, France, and Tunisia.

Genoa, Italy: You'll explore the restored childhood home of Christopher Columbus among sections of medieval walls in this northern Italian seaport. The city produces rich green olive oil used in pesto and focaccia and is conveniently located near other port towns, including Portofino.
La Goulette, Tunisia: This charming North African fishing port is home to some of the country’s finest seafood restaurants. Camels carry tourists down the street, and you might spot pink flamingos bobbing in the water.
Palermo, Italy: Sicily’s capital has long been a melting pot of ancient Mediterranean cultures, resulting in a visually stunning assortment of Byzantine mosaics, Roman cathedrals, and bustling Arab markets. The city’s Regional Archaeological Museum displays artifacts dating back to prehistoric times.
Rome, Italy: A day trip here includes a hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour that stops at 11 different locations, including the Colosseum, Piazza del Popolo, Fontana di Travi, and Saint Peter’s Square in Vatican City, while an on-board audioguide explains their historical and artistic significance.
A tour aboard the MSC Splendida (departures through March 15) also includes stops at Marseilles, France, and Barcelona, Spain, home to Gaudí’s Sagrada Familía cathedral and other art nouveau architecture. The MSC Orchestra (departures starting March 30) will make stops at the Spanish party island of Ibiza, as well as Villefranche-sur-Mer, located on the French Riviera.
Post-Cruise Trips:
After disembarking from the cruise ship, guests can choose to spend either one night in Rome or four nights in Rome and Venice. In Rome, you’ll stay at the 4-star Mecenate Palace or similar accommodations. The 4-star Hotel Principe, one of the accommodation options in Venice, is situated on the city’s famous Grand Canal.
