To launch their flight experience, students orient themselves to the mechanics and controls of the helicopter during ground school and simulator training. They then take to the skies with an FAA-certified instructor, flying over the Los Angeles area and peeping views of sites such as the Santa Monica mountains and Lake Balboa. An HD video commemorates the flight as does a photo package and a certificate of completion. Students leave with flight-training manuals and a pilot logbook, in which lies evidence of their first recorded flight and first sky-borne drag-race victory against a flock of seagulls.
