Students needn't have any previous experience to enter the Photo I workshop, which covers the fundamentals of snapping with both film and digital cameras. Important topics include focus depth, metering, learning to say "cheese" in multiple languages, and stop-and-show action. After completing Photo I, pupils may leap into Photo II seminars, where a deeper exploration of the craft features a rundown of lens perspectives and filters, as well as flash work and instruction on camera equipment and proper film and print storage. The Adobe Photoshop I class introduces students to basic tools and photo-editing concepts, such as monitor calibration, color correction, portrait retouching, and media storage. Students learn how to navigate programs such as Photoshop Elements, Photoshop CS3 - CS6, and Lightroom.
Photo I, Photo II, and Adobe Photoshop I workshops run every four–six weeks and include two sessions on consecutive nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
