Participants will work in one of the art centerâEUR(TM)s four studiosâEUR"photography, digital, ceramics, or designâEUR"to learn about each workshopâEUR(TM)s respective art medium and create pieces of artwork to take home. During the photography session, participants tour the dark room before using a variety of props to compose stylized portraits they will print out and mount. The Photoshop class teaches participants the basics of navigating the graphic-design program while they create multilayered digital works of art that will be matted and ready to frame. Alternatively, participants can mosey up to potter's wheels in the ceramics studio to learn wheel throwing, or they can design their own screenprints using Illustrator. Students can silk-screen their designs on high-quality paper or blank shirts that they bring in. Free parking is available in the lot and on the street.
