Beijing, Days 1–5
On the first leg of your trip, in China's capital, you'll visit the Forbidden City, home to the impressive Ming-era imperial palace where emperors ruled mainland China for more than 500 years.
Accommodations: You'll stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Beijing, a 4-star hotel in Beijing’s technology district.
Must-see: At the Great Wall of China, you'll hike along the Juyongguan Pass, a steeper portion of the wall that passes over rolling mountains.
Suzhou and Hangzhou, Days 5–7
Ancient cities with unique heritages, Suzhou and Hangzhou are located inland of coastal Shanghai. Often referred to as "The Venice of the East," Suzhou is renowned for its canals and high-quality silk. Hangzhou's major export is tea, but the city is best known for West Lake.

Shanghai, Days 8–10
Located on the coast of the East China Sea between Beijing and Hong Kong, Shanghai boasts the largest metropolitan population in the world and features a blend of modern high-rises and traditional architecture.

Hong Kong, Days 11–12
