Prior to each treatment, a 10-minute orientation elucidates the history and safety of floatation tanks and answers any questions. The client showers before entering the chamber, where 10.5 inches of ultrasaturated Epsom salt water float the body in complete darkness. The chamber is 8.5’x4’ to ensure a comfortable, cramp-free experience, and a constant temperature of 93.5 degrees keeps the body cozy and combines with the water to convince the mind that it’s floating in air. After the float, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and moisturizer await the salty client. Robes, shoes, and disposable earplugs are provided for each client, and when guests exit into the gallery, the staff greets rejuvenated bodies with water and hot tea.
