Ugly Sweater Party Cruise

Every holiday season, it's the same old yarn: office parties, last-minute shopping, and another boring sweater from your Aunt Marge. If you're ready for a new pattern -- and want to upgrade your winter wardrobe while you're at it -- this Adventure's got you covered: the Ugly Sweater Party Cruise, an evening holiday-themed boat cruise around Puget Sound with dancing, seasonal food, and the ugliest sweaters yule ever see. We'll start by gathering at our check-in point (either Pier 55 in Seattle or Kirkland City Dock, depending on event date), where our pullover posse will be waiting to greet us and check us in. From there, we'll board our vessel (courtesy of Argosy Cruises) and ship out for a 2.5-hour cruise on the waters of Puget Sound. As we make our way around the Sound, we'll be joined by other ships in a 60-year-old tradition -- the Argosy Christmas Ship Festival -- as we weave through waterfront communities, local boats decked out in holiday cheer, and bands of waterborne carolers belting out the songs of the season. There will also be plenty to entertain us aboard our own exclusive LivingSocial cruiser, including a seasonal buffet (Caesar salad, home-style mac and cheese, pulled pork sandwiches, and dessert); a Sound Factory DJ spinning crowd favorites on the upper-deck dance floor; and games, trivia, and other surprises on the lower deck. Guests are strongly encouraged to wear their tackiest holiday-themed sweaters, so don't forget to needle your friends about their hideous knitwear. We wouldn't pull the wool over your eyes -- this Adventure's sure to be a total stitch.
