The spa is housed at the JW Marriott. In 2011, Condé Nast Traveler added the hotel to its Hot List in the wake of a $400 million renovation. The overhaul restored the opulence of the building, which was designed by famed Chicago architect Daniel Burnham. The original Burnham ballroom still sparkles with its domed ceiling and rows of crystal chandeliers, but the rest of the hotel has a more contemporary feel, with bright colors that complement marble floors and gold-topped columns.
Located in one of the world’s great financial districts, the hotel is a half a block away from the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower), the tallest building in North America. Many of Chicago’s museums and downtown theaters are also within walking distance. A quick train ride around the Loop will bring you to the Magnificent Mile for world-class shopping.
