Don't believe the Mayan yarn about the world ending in 2012? That's no reason not to throw a party anyway, especially in a city where fiction can tromp all with enough media buys. Fortunately for you, this Adventure requires no hoodwinking: an end of the world party with a complimentary beer, drink specials, raffle prizes, a grand prize trip, interactive bucket list games, and more. Dress in the best end-of-days getups and we'll greet our cheeky Mayan fate at Penn Social in D.C.'s Penn Quarter, where LivingSocial staff will direct us to the Apocalyptic party, our gratis Shock Top beer, and the option to purchase Shock Top products and drink specials. Before the party starts raging, we'll be invited to jot down our bucket lists on the accompanying chalkboard; LivingSocial staff will select a few at random and attempt to check them off. Then the lights will dim and we'll enjoy glow-in-the-dark accessories to adorn and our own creative glow-friendly attire. DJ Benny C will be spinning tailor-made apocalyptic tracks as the monitors display end of the world videos. Throughout the dance party, staff will be raffling off prize packages, with one lucky winner receiving an invite to Shock Top's exclusive End of the World bunker party (only those who arrive by 10 p.m. will be eligible for entry). Doomsday scenarios always bring out the color in D.C.--fiscal cliff, anyone?
