At the Premier Centre for the Arts, fledgling thespians regale audiences with family-friendly performances throughout the year, including festive shows during the holiday season. The Grinch Tea features a performance of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, inspired by the classic tale penned by Dr. Seuss. When the titular green-furred curmudgeon invades Whoville in hopes of robbing its denizens of their cherished Yuletide holiday, he discovers that his heart may be bigger than he thought. During the show, Whoville characters angelically sing the story‚EUR(TM)s iconic songs, from the original television special‚EUR(TM)s bellowing ‚EURoeYou‚EUR(TM)re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch‚EURĚ to the soft-spoken ‚EURoeWhere Are You, Christmas?,‚EURĚ sung by Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 film adaptation. Regardless of the tune, audience members are encouraged to sing along between sips of tea.
On the heels of Christmas, the Holiday Cabaret swells with seasonal songs and delectable hors d‚EUR(TM)oeuvres prepared in the kitchen by reindeer with especially dexterous hooves. The Centre‚EUR(TM)s third annual, family-friendly New Year‚EUR(TM)s Eve Party begins with the Holiday Cabaret, followed by dancing and an early champagne toast at 10 p.m.
