Be very careful with these cards...I recently had Starbucks freeze my account and zero it out because they claimed the gift cards were purchased with stolen funds (credit card). That said, I've purchased other cards (Lowes, Olive Garden, etc...) and had no problem. It seems as if Starbucks is chasing these cards down...

I've been pretty lucky. Have bought many of them off eBay at up to 45% off and so far only 1 problem which eBay/PayPal took care of very quickly. Also have bought 3 off Raise with no issue. Where they come from I can only guess but that's not my concern. My concern is if I can use them.

If you are into bitcoin you can buy them for 50% off and more. I haven't tried that yet but from what I have been reading there has been no issues over the long term.

If you buy one (eBay, Raise etc) DO NOT add/transfer it to your existing SB card just add it as a separate card under your Starbucks account. Use the SB app on your phone to purchase that way you can choose which card you use at any time.  I rotate between multiple cards that way always using the newest one first. That way if it is a bad card they will only shut down that one card. When I had the problem my account stayed opened and my other "good" cards remained available but the 1 "bad" card was zeroed out.

20% off is gone ... now 17%.

I just have never been able to get Raise.com to accept any of my debit cards. Anyone else have this issue?

You have not.

I'd love this if it wasn't for the fact that the closest Starbucks to my house is 1-1/2 hours away.

Considering I have purchased over $2000 worth of $50 & $100 cards for average 41.7% discount over the last year and had only one issue which was taken care of with no hassle I think it's worked out quite well considering the possibilities. They all don't originate from stolen CC's or most would eventually be shut down. I really wonder where the "good ones" and in such large quantity originate from.

I thought the law required one on every block?    I have 3 within less than four miles and probably 8 within a 8 mile radius of my home..

I purchased $400 worth from raise.  No issue with starbucks.  Once I ordered about $100 in merchandise (coffee press) and they put a 2 day whole investigating my gift card account but ultimately processed the order without issue.

I've purchased probably $100 a month for past 6 months. I've yet to have an issue. Raise is awesome!

Raise has over SIX HUNDRED Starbucks "e-certificates" as of just now. Interesting.

I used to live in Los Angeles and we had one literally next door to a supermarket had a Starbucks inside.  I now live on the northern coast of Maine and we have no Starbucks whatsoever.....hell, we don't even have cell phone reception.
