waste of time and money..claimed two books shipped, later retracted as book presold to someone else, they canceled that book and only partially refunded my money, claiming I couldn't benefit from some shipping discount anymore. Would not have ordered at all at regular shipping rates...no more Alibris for me, not consumer friendly.

Not the cheapest price by any means. Received confirmation that book was shipped within 1 day of ordering. Was given an expected delivery date 8 days later. 30 days later, no book and no way of tracking order. I do not believe they ship books when they say they do and they do not make cancelling an order easy - impossible if you haven't already waited 30 days. I will never order from them again. Customer service could provide no support except to say, contact us if you don't receive it in 30 days. I NEVER would have bought from them if they told me up front that it could take 30 days. I thought 8 days was extreme especially since I needed it for a gift. Needless to say, it never arrived. Very very disappointed.

Beware of Alibris' fraud here. I have ordered a book for my Spring semester. At first, the service seems very nice. I got an email saying that my order has been shipped within 2-3 days for order. I wait for my book to arrive for 3 weeks and it didn't. So I email them to let them know and investigate this matter. In next few day, I got a reply email saying it has refund my book without any explanation about the shipping.
This makes me wonder if they ever send my order to me... If they ever sent it, they wouldn't refund it. Although they refund it, I should still have recieved the refunded book since the order has been sent for 3 whole weeksssss (as they claimed from the shipping date). They couldn't just tell the post-office to send the order back to them.

Looks like good price but about service I don't know. Contact # is not available.....I think they are afraid to talk to their customer. Some times we need to talk....

You get what you pay for. If you're looking for rare books and don't mind a bit of a wait, you can find them here. Will probably take more than a month to get the book, and you will pay a premium, but it is very easy to find and get a book you want. Great site for collectors.
