Ordered a car seat from BabyAge.com and it arrived promptly and in good condition. Had a problem with a free shipping coupon not being credited on checkout. After sending a note to customer service I was refunded the shipping charge the next day. Overall a good experience.

I also have a very bad experience on BabyAge.com.
I ordered a toddler's bed last month which should be shipped out in 2-4 wks according their website. till now, almost 6 wks passed, I still didn't get
any information about the shipment for this bed. I sent 3 emails and filled online support form to request shipping status and no answer at all.

Dear Shopper,

I would like to follow up on your recent FatWallet posting giving your feedback on BabyAge. While I am a firm believer in the ability for a customer to review an experience (good or bad) that they have had with an online store, I also feel that such a system should be used responsibly. The information in your message is vague and comes across as an attempt to slander and not to share information that will be helpful to other consumers. You mentioned that you have placed several orders and received less than standard products or service. If this is true, I hope you will take a moment to post your BabyAge order numbers, or any other information I can use to verify your claims. None of your claims are typical of how we do business at BabyAge so I would like the opportunity to look deeper into your information and respond. We at BabyAge are focused on offering the best products to our customers at the best prices with the highest standard for service and support. We have built our reputation over that past five years on these standards and look forward to doing the same for years to come.

Here's the deal:

The web site is easy to use, has everything on your fingertips BUT...what you see is NOT what you get. The items come delivered shabby, screwed up and messy. Customer service isn't as bright and you have to work your way through them. The site looks great, but two items that I purchased came in looking like it fell off the back of a truck. Two separate orders and two separate occasions. The toddler bed was delivered missing some nails and was repackaged with a lot of tape. The box for our mattress was delivered germy and broken. I wouldn't purchase from this site ever again. I'm surprised they're still in business.
