all other competators at least 200.00 more with 250 to ship
Amazon straight 1300.00 plus free shipping cant beat that. 7 says to deliver right on time, handled well

Second time I ordered I was nicely suprised with order showing a
couple of days earlier

Amazon's substores are not trust worthy. I just ordered a compactflash card from them..after 4 days on the phone they said they can't send the card to me. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

Very dissapointed with their policy of deleting items from order if they priced them incorrectly.
I was qualified for free shipping until they deleted 1 item, and never notified me that they were charging shipping on the remaining items.
First time buyer. I doubt I will return.

I have ordered items from Amazon.com multiple times and have had a positive experience everytime. Their customer service bends over backwards for you.
I have two specific examples:
I ordered a KitchenAid food processor and it was missing an item that the Amazon.com website said it would include. I called Amazon and they promptly refunded a portion of the purchase price [close to 20%].
They also had a "Friday Sale" for a Stainless Steel Grill. When the sale started, it was 299, however later in the day it was raised to 399. I called a CSR and they told me to place the order at the 399 rate and he would change the purchase price to 299. 2 minutes after I ordered the grill, my order was updated with the correct price.

They have no clue of what they are doing. My order was denied due to incorrect pricing. However, I kept getting emails for an update ship date. I will only buy from them out of necessity.

I pre-ordered a game (narnia) well before christmas as a part of a B1 G1Free deal with free shipping... How cool I thought... Amazon even shipped the one item that was in stock to me before Christmas and kept me updated on the pre-order. I give them an A+ for that. What I was disapointed with, and this may not have been their fault, but rather the manufacturer's, the item that was due to be released Jan 2nd was not released on time and we just had it delivered to us the first week of MARCH. :/ It makes one go Hmmmm.

I placed a "pre-order" for a DVD (I was out of contact during its release). The DVD was release on the 3-7, I preordered. So it should ship on the 7th (right?). Nope, On pre-orders you get pushed to the back of the line. BTW, they have it in stock. I can order on 7th for delivery next day. I sent a complaint email, I got shipping notification the same day has the reply (funny how that happened). The email stated it was procedure due to the fact I got "free shipping". The free shipping on a pre-order makes it cost competitive with the local WalMart.

I learned my lesson with Amazon, I will not "bother" them again with my business.

I have bought lots of stuff at Amazon.com over the the past 5 years, ranging from electronics to books and dvds. Each time has been a pleasurable experience. The two that come to time most often is when I bought a Tivo box like 5 days before Christmas. I chose the free shipping option and they shipped it next day air so I'd have it for Christmas! They also price adjusted the item when it went down in price 2 days later (they have no policy on it, but just ask)! I recently bought 4 seasons of 24 from them (by far the cheapest outside of Black Friday deals) and they shipped my order UPS 2nd day air and I receieved it within 5 business days with the free shipping option selected. It's too bad to hear about the bad experiences from some other people. To me Amazon.com is awesome. I live in Hawaii and usually when vendors have free shipping it means media mail which takes 3 months sometimes to get here. They ship USPS Priority or UPS 2/3 Day Air! This is huge! Not trying to sign like an Amazon crony, but when I see the bad comments I thought possible consumers need to know there are some extremely satisfied experiences out there as well!

When you place the order with Amazon's Free Delivery service try to guess when you receive it. I cancelled mine after 1.5 month of waiting.
Two weeks ago I placed another order. After I chose Free Delivery I waited for for a week with no results. The order was nowhere near being shipped. Then I switched to 2nd day delivery and to my surprise received the order in 2 days.

Ordered a bed and mattress for $269. Charged my card and hour later got a e-mail that it was out of stock. I went to look on Amazon it was now selling for $1699. Wrote to customer service, they stated again that it was out of stock. Notified BBB again they stated it was out of stock. 10 days later the finally amitted it was a misprice. They have still refuse to send even though they have broken the law. Once they charge my card that it no matter what, if in stock, is mine. If this was BM would they be able to come and get the item a hour later in your bedroom? Amazon puts on a nice smiling face but they hard to deal with. Anyway we will see what the BBB can do. Hope they get a fine
