I have ordered a lot from this company and they have never let me down. Most boxes under the christmas tree were from Amazon. They even overnight'ed a camera I had bought with free shipping so that it would make it for christmas. Very responsible company.

Amazon makes it a common practice to email you that the product is out of stock, after you ordered it. If the price was too low or a mistake. I ordered a mattress and boxspring set for $269 delivered. Got a E-mail a hour later stating that it was out of stock at time of order. When I rechecked, I saw it was now selling at $1499, out of stock? Please

Life would be different without Amazon. Life would be difficult.

Aside from offering competitive pricing on a great assortment of things and fast shipping (if you're enrolled to Prime), their customer service is pretty good. I returned an item and got full refund, shipping included, although the buy was an error on my part. It takes about a month for refund, but what matters is that it happened.

The worst shopping experience and customer serivce! Ordered a new phone with service plan on Monday. Should be shippied out within 24 hours. But after 2 days, the status is still showing shipping soon, don't allow me to cancel my order. Called 3 times, each time gave me a different answer. At last, they told me it has been shipped out, but there is no tracking number, no confirmation email for me. What I can do is to wait.

I purchased cell phone from A1Wireless.com before, It shipped the same day and arrived after 2 days. Compared to that, I would give Amazon a negative 5 star.

This used to be one of my favorite stores. Now they are ok for used books and price mistakes but for diapers, soap, diaper dekor refills, etc. they are no longer competitive. I miss being able to buy Amazon gift certificates from GiftCertificates.com and save 4%. Many stores are just as cheaper or cheaper unless there is a closeout on toys or pricemistake. They have gone downhill in the last six months IMO.

The Amazon phone number (1-800-201-7575) used to connect you to a very helpful staff that would go out of their way to assist your needs. Now, they've exported the service to India, where the staff either refuses to help or does not have the authority to do so. It seems that customer service is not very important at Amazon.

Email addresses info@Amazon.com and orders@Amazon.com don't take incoming email and neither does feedback@Amazon.com, most websites you can use the domainname@domainname.com to sent email to them and get a reply not with Amazon.com

So far Amazon is good IMO. I have shopping there over 2~3 years.
no pricematch. that's a pain to FWer.
rebate is not hard. But not easy either. especially for manufacture rebate. if you run into a problem on that rebate. Amazon wouldn't do anything for you. So unless the rebates from big and brand name companies, I try to avoid them.
IMO, Amazon service is better than average. I bought dineware, kitchenware, electronics, high-end digital camera, camcorder, diaper,… I feel happy so far. keep shopping there.
