Excellent price.
Received system in 4 days - very fast.
Packaged well in original Dell box.
System looks perfect.
System would not boot out of the box but after software restore then fine.
Vendor was able to meet my request to have a single 2GB ram chip instead of 2-1GB chips.
I will happily buy from AscendTech again.

I was shopping for a computer for my husband.

After having my order significantly delayed by

another vendor, I canceled the order and went

with AscendTech due to their high ratings and

great prices.

My experience was great.

I know a little about computers but am by no

means an expert. I just wanted a computer that

my husband and I can use for business, and he

could occasionally play games on.After a very

informative conversation with Steve, I went on

AscendTech’s site and selected a desktop that

ended up slightly over $2000.I received feedback

early on about some incompatibilities and I made

the appropriate changes.

During the building process, which took about 4

days, I communicated with Steve and John. I was

able to ask about the progress of the build as

well as estimated dates of completions and

shipping times. The responses I received turned

out to be very accurate.

The computer shipped on time and arrived via UPS

in a huge box in a box with lots foam, air

bubbles and peanuts between the two.

There was no damage to the box and no damage that

I have found to the computer. There was

inflatable packing included in the computer case

to prevent internal components from loosening or

shaking around.

So far the computer started and has run well.

I have no complaints with AscendTech. AscendTech

allows custom configuration of any type of

computer that I desire, provides customers with

well informed guidance for part selection, and

builds the computer much quicker than typical

online vendors. The computer was well-packed and

appears to run well.

I will update this review if I have problems and

need to deal with technical support. However, I

doubt this will be the case.

Ok Guys - Here it is

If you want an awesome high end system this company has the intellectual know how to make it happen.

I am obsessive when it comes to my technology, and a meticulous enthusiast who is fortunate to have the finances to have any company build me

an exceptional out of this world gaming machine.

Well after over 45 different configurations - I think I finally acheived it. An exceptionally stable, dual boot 64 bit custom monster.

The knowledgable techs that can stabilize the system outlined below are really hard to come by and a rare breed in a country that aspires to mediocricy.

I would not even consider for a second, anyone but Ascendtech on my next 2009 build.

Val Sak, at Ascendtech - a multitasking maniac that runs on 16 cores and is as stable as my system, assured that every part and component

would be not only the best product available, but would simply work great in my configuration - period.

As with any system that tops the charts - we had a couple of issues that needed to be worked out during a brutal burn in.

These guys honesty in sharing what they had to do to correct the issues speaks volumes about integrity and if it was not for this rigourous quality control

- well you, may not be in as a good a place as me.

So am I extatic? - Very much so and I can endorse in all enthusiast circles to buy their products!

Have no fear - they are a great company.

Respectfully,

Tom Pinkerton

I had an Intel Mainboard go out in my son's system & AscendTech had an identical replacement for under $25, including shipping! I ordered online & the only problem, if you can call it that, was that their online system wouldn't take my creditcard info. So, I just called the next day (11th) & they shipped it the 12th & I got it on Friday the 14th. Board works great.
I am extremely happy with their service & the quality of what I ordered.
A sidenote: there was some sort of issue with my system & their website after my order-- something about a Security Certificate not being up to date so I couldn't logon & track the order thru their site. I wasn't a problem, as I could thru the confirmation email from the 12th with tracking #.

I have bought from this store before and had nothing but a pleasant experience. After reading the latest comments I was a bit surprised but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.

My last order I boutht a full quad core intel system, custom built with an LCD monitor. Not only were AscendTech support staff extra helpfull in selecting the right components, but the process was very smooth and efficient. The system came quickly and worked perfectly.

I am not sure how these folks could have had such issues, as I am sure whatever the problems could have been worked out. As for me, my system works and I am very please with AscendTech.

I had bought 2 computers for Christmas for my children. 1 is fine. The other is doing weird things. I called and spoke to a manager (who you could barely understand) who told me it was over 30 days and because I did not put any feedback in, I have no extension. As per this manager, even if I was 1day out of the 30 day warranty, they would do nothing. I now took it to a computer place in my hometown and found out the hard drive is shot! If I ran my business like these people, I would have been shut down for the worst customer service ever! I feel this is a subliminal company who has no integrity when it comes to honest business practices. I am going to take this up with the BBB in NJ and also in Ohio. They should not be allowed to get away with this kind of misrepresentation. BUYERS BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

Bought 2 computers from them and neither would power up. They had me send both back at my expense for shipping. They sent both back 1 working fine and 1 still not working. Found out it was the power supply and tried to talk to a manager to talk about a new power supply and the shipping costs but will not return my calls. By far the worst online experience ever. The only time they care is if you leave a negetive feedback on eBay.

DO NOT use AscendTech.us to buy computer parts from. They are a joke of a company with really horrible customer service.

I ordered 2 cooling fans for my computer. They were the only place that listed the specific fan that my computer needs. So, I ordered 2 so I would have a backup. Came out to a little over 40 bucks with shipping. Not bad seeing as how nobody else has this fan.

The box arrived and I open it up. I found junk inside the box. Looked like somebodies used computer parts. There were fans in the box, yes. But not only were they scratched to hell and beat up, the fans had a thin layer of dirt and dust stuck to them like they had been used for a while. The thermal grease on the bottom had been scraped off. You could tell it was scraped off because the bottoms were all scratched up. And, these weren't even the fans I ordered. Looking nothing like what they listed on the website.

So, I call them. They put me on hold, which eventually lead to 15 minutes of me sitting there just so they can hang up on me. I call back and they dont answer. I call again and get a busy signal.

So then, I sent them an email. I get a response saying that they will forward my email to the proper dept.

2 weeks go by and nothing. What is the proper dept? I dont have any idea.

So, I resent my email to every email address that I could find for their company.

Finally, a response. They told me to send the package back. So, I did. I let them know that I shipped it back and shared the tracking number with them.

Then they have the nerve to tell me to put some RMA number on the package or they wont accept it. Could have told me that before I sent the box of junk back! If they dont accept the box, it will have been cheaper for me to just keep the box of junk and cut my losses.

Jan 4, 2008, I ordered $295 computer. Computer randomly shutdown and restarted. After numerous contacts with tech support and no fix forthcoming I opted to return computer for a refund. After deducting restocking fees my refund was $208. In the end, I paid $119 for nothing (restocking fee and shipping both times). Their restocking fee for faulty merchandise is unreasonable. Also note: AscendTech's high rating is primarily due to them providing a worthless 45 day return period (instead of 7 days) if you leave positive feedback before the order is shipped. Regretfully, I also left positive feedback before I received the faulty computer.

Buyer beware. The PC I received had a USED hard drive that had messages in the Windows error log indicating imminent failure. I sent the hard drive back and received another USED hard drive. They use USED parts -- beware!
