When it goes right, they're great. However, when the Amazon Authorized Sellers are bad, Amazon does nothing to help the innocent customer. Amazon removes negative customer feedback without permission in order to artificially inflate Amazon Authorized Sellers' ratings...
Amazon just isn't ethical when it comes to Authorized Amazon Sellers - Stay Away from purchasing anything from an Authorized Amazon Seller that isn't a recognized company!

Greedy, B.S.-patent filing, overpriced website ... forget them, order from Buy.com or newegg instead. Prices are cheaper plus these companies don't try to patent every obvious thing they can think of in sight.

Amazon is one of the best online retailers out there. I know this because I have ordered over two thousand dollars worth of merchandise from them in over eight years or more. I have never had a problem that could not be resolved to my satisfaction. Of course, I have had some orders cancelled due to incorrect prices on the web site but that was the chance I took. And free shipping might take a while sometimes but it's FREE. If anyone does not understand the concept of free shipping, I beg you to look at other online retailers like TigerDirect.com that typically does not have free shipping. And look what they charge you for shipping! If you want the real run around, try Buy.com. When I am purchasing something from Amazon, the bottom-line price is important to me. Amazon may not be perfect but they are reasonable. This information is coming from a mature individual in his forties. Hope this helps. Austin, Texas

I have experienced nothing but excellent service and honest dealing when buying from Amazon. Some of their 3rd party merchants, notably Office Depot, provide really crappy service, and give a bad name to Amazon, but I've never had a problem when purchasing directly from Amazon. Once or twice, they have cancelled an order which was clearly a pricing error, but who can blame them? Also, it does irk me that they don't post their 800 number on their website, but Fatwallet has their number here, and they provide excellent 24 hour support from the most populous English speaking country in the world, India. Their email support is also fairly good, but sometimes a simple 3 minute phone call can solve a problem that would otherwise take over a day of back and forth emails.
