After 3 days of trying to use a gift certificate without success, I am giving up. I will ask that the amount be refunded and they can keep their merchandise (which is usually over priced anyways.)
Th Help on the website is a joke, they only ffer email response to problem. Those email usually describe how to purchase and never address the actual proble. No phone # is listed online, I had to come here to FatWallet to get it, and the automated system is terrible. It took almost 10 minutes just to get to hold for a CSR. The CSR are no better, I was told that their gift certificate system is having problem only for some and techs are working on it, but nothing could be done right now. This store is a joke. How they got to be as big as they are is beynod me.

After 2 months of haggling- they sent me the $30 coupon for their credit card application- it wasn't good- what a joke

I'm too tired about my rebate with amazon.com. I sent it in over 13 weeks ago. So far I haven't got it just because I moved, the post office didn't forward it though. For this matter, I emailed twice to state my current address, called four times to only get my address updated, and have to wait for another 6 weeks as the CSR said it belongs to a resubmission. This CSR was so rude to tell me their supervisor was not available, that's it.

Why I had much better exprience on similar position with Staples so far.

You're screwed if amazon.com messes up your order. Their customer service is so unorganized, one hand does not know what the other is doing. It takes over a month to get your credit card refunded.
They are too big and they could care less if they upset people thru by failing to deliver an order. If UPS damages your package and you refuse delivery you will get nothing but grief for a month. Nothing but excuses from day one. I am out 560.00 until Amazon decides to credit my credit card. Email saying we're sorry you're unhappy do not fix a problem.

Frustrating, expensive, inflate retail price, don't honor orders, don't honor promotions, not customer friendly but they sure remember your credit card! Did I mention rip-off artists! Use the retailers website directly, it's cheaper and probably has better coupons or promos. They should get together with AOL they seem to have the same business strategy toward consumers! Screw them!

I have received a number of certificates from Amazon. A few have not come within the required timeframe. I will admit that they are pretty poor about that part, you often need to do some "legwork" yourself.

However, my experiences with getting them fulfilled have been much better than the other posters, I simply call the above number, speak with a csr who is very helpful, and I have the coupon in my box the next day, no problems.

Also, Amazon has been wonderful about replacing lost or damaged shipped items. 2 day shipped for free an item that UPS had damaged, no questions asked.

As far as free shipping, it is a hit or miss with them. I always go with it anyway - because I am getting a deal not an item as soon as possible. If you want it faster, pay for it! Sometimes free shipping comes in a day or two anyway, it just depends on the fulfillment center, and probably a number of other variable.s

Just made a purchase [i know big mistake]. And now with all their third party crappy suppliers my order of a small item is going to cost me $11 bucks to ship!!! and the item only cost $15 and cannot weigh more than 2 or 3 oz.!!!

I won't be buying anything from them ever again. There are plenty of other places that don't use confusing layouts and -1 fonts to steal money from their customers.

Amazon SUCKS!!! Their free shipping takes FOREVER!! It tooke me about 10 days to get my stuff SHIPPED. And the price dropped before they shipped out my item and they wouldnt give me the difference back.

The worst part is i ordered a Cellphone from them and the order was cancelled 3 mins after the i placed the order and i got a email saying the cellphone service provider rejected my order. I called the provider and they said they haven't received any order or done any credit check on me. I TRIED to place the same order 4 times and got the same result.

AMAZON's prices change all the time and long time wait to get it shipped and most important part is they got problems on the website....
