staples can be a huge hassle; if you're willing to fight (i have much better luck in store rather than on the phone) and be persistent, you can get HUGE discounts... like an item, pricematched, with a coupon and a rebate, shipped overnight for free.... meanwhile, i use my dividends card, and get 3% back in GCs. For a college student with a lot of free time, its great. For people looking for convenience OR a great price, go to staples, but don't expect to get BOTH.

Stay away..... Price policy/guarantee a "JOKE"... They don't stand by their own policy

Buyer beware. If you order two or more items to qualify for a coupon discount they often cancel one item, remove the coupon and ship you the remaining items anyway. I have had this happen three times to me. Now i only shop at the B&M store while avioding the Bait and switch like tactics of their online ordering system.
The time spent fighting over overcharges is no longer worth the effort especially when they fight you ever step of the way.
be careful to print out ever online order and be prepared to dispute charges.
staples gets a + for fast shipping and prices, but be sure to check your credit card for "pending" or "hold" charges. Everytime I place an order, I have to call staples a week or so later to have "holds" removed from my credit card. staples places a "hold" for your order on your card and then charges the card for the full amount when the item is shipped, so your available credit reflects a "double" charge. Very inconvenient to deal with and staples NEVER admits to it until you persist and get your CC provider involved. THEN, they will remove the "hold"!!

It's great when you can use coupons and get rebates. Wait for the right deal!

What can I say - I love staples because of their coupons. But I also find them the best store for quick rebates - never had any issues. Their Price match policy is quite decent as well.

I was banned from staples.com for using a coupon they didn't want me to use. Because of their lack of making INCENTIVES a one time code, I had to be verbally abused by their customer service reps. I now shop at office depot.

The rebate from staples is the most speedy and reliable.
