If you are travveling with children under 17, beaware that there is no difference in Priceline, however other sites differtiate children and save you atleast 40% for each children.
Agreed on the PATHETIC customer service HP has. I placed an order for 2 HP customized PC on the afternoon of 8/13/08 and called 15 minutes after to cancel the order right away because the order would not make it in time. I was on the phone for 45 minutes with their cs dept and then finally ended up at some "resolution specialist" who assured me the order was cancelled because she went to the warehouse to make sure of it. This "resolution specialist" resolved NOTHING as I found out on the morning of 8/14 that the order still has not be cancelled after emailing their cs again to confirm. So here I go again to try and call their USELESS cs and play this stupid game. Apparently the cs today gave me the bs reply that "if the cancellation was successful you will receive an email within 24-48hrs". WTF? The lady on 8/13 already told me the order has been verified to be cancelled! It's ridiculous how the entire cs runs of this script that makes them incapable of thinking outside the box and take care of ONE simple problem. Needless to say, this is most definitely the last time I myself shop at HP.com as it's just not worth going through this trouble again.

How can their customer service be award-winning? It takes 3 chat sessions and 4 hours to get a defective dvd drive replaced. I would have bought a new drive and installed myself, if I had knew their customer service sucks like this. With Dell, it would have taken only 20 minutes!

Easy to return. Just call for a RMA # and arrange for a pickup.

I though Brand Name, how could I go wrong... well two months later I'm one of those horror stories you read in these reviews. A laptop barely a month old, has a faulty hard drive. I do their work when it comes to tech support - getting sent the wrong parts 3 times already - each times means a night talking to their brainless tech support. Each time I have to convince them something is wrong. Never buy HP. Don't risk it. I did and got burned. Don't do it.

Stay AWAY from Pavillion Notebooks!! I had 2 in one year lose their video cards and the service is based in Sri Lanka or India...HORRIBLE!!!
I had to mail in the laptops and wait 2 weeks to get them back.
Then HP started calling me at 3 AM day after day after day to see 'how my laptop was working'. After demanding several times that they stop calling me in the middle of the night, I had to change my phone number to get them to stop calling me.
HORRID TECH SUPPORT!! The WORST on EARTH!!
I have owned at least 12 computers and have never had a video card go out on any computer, no less a laptop and now 2 in one year on 2 different models?
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!! They make the worst equipment there is.

Really have to be careful with the coupons for this site. I would scope this site for their coupons for 1-2 months prior to purchasing to get a feel of what their lowest price really is. I purchased a laptop for 20% off, only to find a 30% off deal a couple of days later. CS unwilling to give me a credit for the difference. Overall the computer is okay but I can't help feeling robbed for an extra 140bucks on this.

Ordered an HP Pavilion entertainment PC on August 21 on line through fatwallet (5%) rebate. Able to use coupon for 20% off to make it competitive with the Dell I was deciding between. The delays in shipping and a couple of features I could not get on the Dell made my decision. (HD port and fingerprint reader) My ship date was August 30. FedEx delivered it this morning August 29 (I was expecting it on Sept.5 according to FedEX tracking yesterday. It is exactly like I thought it would look. I am satisfied. I am a little disappointed to see a $300 coupon on the Special Edition for the next couple of days even though I can't get this exact configuration, so I think the prices would be very close to the same. If you are considering a laptop, check out the HP's with the coupons, you can really save. I also got $66.00 from fatwallet. Overall my experience with HP was satisfactory.

I also can add a bad experience with HP shopping....I tied to order a dv6000t configured to my specs of 849.99 less a 100.00 instant discount to a subtotal of 749.00. there is a national incentive of a 20% discount(code NB2749) to all notebook orders of 749.00 and up.......but after applying the code the 100.00 discount is voided.. I have been brand loyal to HP for over 13 yrs.........but now HP has made a loyal buyer into a shopper of other brands............hello Dell
