hi, bubba72.Congratulations on the refund!
I have filed complaint to Yahoo Shopping but they told me they didn't have any information of the transactions now because the merchant has left and I need to find help from other sources. I replied their email to say I heard one guy got refund(it's you).Would you please email me your relevant information (firstname.lastname@example.org)? So now I now can argue with YahooShopping.
I have also filed report to FBI and Officer Kirk and I was told this guy was arrested.Yeah!

I just received a notice that the insurer for Yahoo Shopping is sending me a refund for the amount I sent Chris. I dealt with a C Gates at cyno-sure.com. The e-mail is email@example.com. However, you must make a claim with Yahoo Shopping first and you will be assigned a claim number. Make sure you send copies of the cashier's checks/money orders when you make your claim to Cynosure Financial.
Hope this helps.
Here is the original information I received.
According to the information you have provided us, you may be eligible for submitting a claim to Cynosure Financial, our claim administration partner. The claim eligibility criteria is provided at:
* Currently, the "Create Printable Version" button is still under development; you can use the "Print" option in your browser to print the form.
* You also have the option to create your own letter using the Buyer Protection Claim Form information instead of printing the Buyer Protection Claim Form.
* You must file your claim within 60 days of the purchase date to be valid.
2. Include all relevant information and documentation (e.g., correspondence with the merchant, a printed order page, credit card receipts, etc.) with your claim.
3. Sign the Buyer Protection Claim Form.
4. Save a copy of your Buyer Protection Claim Form letter for yourself, and send a copy to:
Yahoo! Shopping Claims Administration 24825 Little Mack, Suite 100 St. Clair Shores, MI 48080

I have been continually trying to call the customer service number, but only one time (unsure how long ago), out of probably 25 calls have I been able to speak to someone. This call was when the automated phone message gave a Sales and Shipping options, for directing the call. I felt as if that lady was ready to take my order, but then I asked about an order that I had already placed. When I gave the order number, she said she was "baffled", and was unaware of the order number, order and cashiers check ... and said she'd have to talk to Chris.
I have tried the home number given on this site... and spoke to reportedly his brother (a couple of times) and also his mother - one time. The "brother" said he did not know anything about Chris' business. He said he'd pass on my message. I spoke to his mother on 1/21/04. His "mother" seemed real helpful. She took my name and phone number, order information, how much money I sent... She said that "Chris was overwhelmed with orders during the holiday season and couldn't keep up with orders". I told her that I wanted a refund, and asked what she thought the chances of me getting a refund were. She said that chances were real good and she'd pass the information on to Chris.
Chris has never returned my call.
To date, I still have not received a refund... I'm pretty disappointed in myself for ever sending a cashier's check. Although I'm still hopeful. I mailed the check on 12/10/03, it was cashed on 12/18/03.
Everyone please keep posting either received cameras - or refunds. Or, if anyone is able to talk to someone at the "customer service" phone number. I plan to keep trying to contact Chris...

For those who wish to file a report against Chris Alvarez, please go to the San Jose Police web page at www.sjpd.org and file it on-line. If that does not work for you, please phone the non-emergency report line at (408)277-8900. You can indicate that I am investigating the case and to have a copy routed to me. It has been a while since anyone posted on here. Does anyone have any additional news? Has anyone received any money that paid with money order, cashier's check, etc.? I am still waiting on my claim with yahoo shopping. They are supposed to decide something by January 31.

I forgot to include Officer Wilson's telephone number in my last message. It is (408)277-3214.

If you were the victim of Chris Alvarez's fraudulent activities (and apparently, there are many victims), I strongly encourage you to call Officer Kirk Wilson with the San Jose Police Department. He has a wealth of information about Mr. Alvarez, including an arrest warrant that has been issued for him. I also strongly encourage you to call the telephone number listed for the asimaging.com domain name - (408) 223-9624. Mr. Alvarez IS at that telephone number and you can reach him if you are persistent. Mr. Alvarez has promised me several times over the past month to refund my money, but has failed to do so. We can't let this guy go on scamming people. Keep after him.

I received my credit on AMX card after I talked with a lady in his office.
