I've had a terrible experience with SmartBargains. I ordered towels and sheets on Jan 17 and got a confirmation email with a delivery date of Jan 30. By Feb 5 my items had still not arrived and when I checked the status of my order on their website it still stated a delivery date of Jan 30 and no other update to its status. I called customer service who said they'd have to contact the warehouse and that I'd get an email with updated status. It's now Feb 8 and still no email, no website update and no merchandise. Don't be lured by their cheap prices. It's not worth the hassle!

I had a free shipping coupon that was honored through out the shopping experience until I entered my credit card number. Once my credit card number was entered, no more free shipping! When I called, the CSR kept me on the phone for 30 minutes for me to substantiate this coupon - it made me feel very unappreciated. I tried cancelling the order and the CSR would put on a surprised voice and asked "you mean you don't want your free shipping anymore?" Well, I do, it is you who would not honor your own coupon. I finally cancelled my order after a few rounds of "Well, I don't see this free shipping coupon - you want to cancell without getting your coupon?" I will NEVER shop there again although I had been a loyal customer of theirs for a few years. This kind of tactic should be penalized as fraud.

Update: at first I had the same bad experience as many others, the 12% new customer discount was applied, and then misteriously disappeared when the order was finalized. But I did save screenshots of the whole process and emailed them to customer service. They issued me a credit for the discount in less that a week. I even got the paypal 20% credited already! Now only praying for the FatWallet CashBack to make it a trifecta!!!

Do not purchase any watches on this site. When I received the package there was no watches but empty boxes. And the package seem to be open and retape. Try calling customer services. Have to fill out tons of paper work. Why would they delivery watches using postal servies? The watches are expensive. I am guessing this is some kind of scam.

Similar scam experience here. I placed my order with discount applied and when the order confirmation appeared the 12% had evaporated. Just in case, because of the other comments, I had saved a screenshot of the order as a PDF. We'll see if they credit the discount. Should I pray for the paypal 20% and FW CashBack???

I had a good first time order with this store. My order came 5 day's sooner than expected and was packed well. I did have one issue..the first time 12% discount wasn't applied to my order but I sent and email and had a response the next day saying they credited my cc account the difference. Overall very happy and saved $40 on my purchase over other stores for the same product!

I order some stuff on special sales. The package could not reach me as UPS ridiculously tried to deliver to my P.O box not to my house. They (UPS) explained it was Basic service which final deliver made by PO (???) while SmartBargains said it was Ground service. The package was then returned to sender without my knowledge. I contact seller's customer service and was explain that due to their policy, when stuff come back to their warehouse, they consider them "RETURN" and return my money. It was frustrated and waste of time, a lot of website re-ship the package if there's any error happens like this and customer still want the products. Customer service suggested me to place another order, however stuff I want was not available on website anymore. Things available are double or triple the price I got on sales. These stuff are gift to my mother on the Mother day. I order them 10 days before and now I have to find something else. It's final week so I don't have enough time to shop on site or online. It was really annoying and frustrated doing business like this. Keep away from this site.

They'll ship the stuff you buy in a reasonable time. But pray that it works when you get it. If something is damaged, don't expect them to respond, ever.

a lot of people have complained and here i am. i clicked through a "free shipping at SmartBargains today" banner and shipping charge was shown as subtracted all the way until the order was finally placed. when i called the customer service people, they gave me a hard time about the free shipping although i saw it all the way until i placed the order, i had to cancel the order because they did not believe that there was such banner, terrible experience trying to "prove myself" to them.

My mom sent me a clip from their webpage with a price of $79 for a certain sheet set, when I went to the site, the price was $99....interesting...gues they have one price for previous customers and one price for new customers. They won't be getting my business.
