Horrible site! Phone number was activated 1hr after the order was placed! They just simply don't know the right way to do business. Glad I read all the reviews after placing the order. Called 800-973-0691(listed on their website) to cancel the order, had to dial another number(customer service,800-208-0826). The rep. told me to call SPRINT to deactivate the service. WTF, I didn't even see the phone and had to call Sprint to cancel! Get away from them, don't be tempted by their Rebate ADs. A company which hasn't a right way to do business is not promising on the rebate or service.

FONcentral.com IS A SCAM. I bought phones from FONcentral in late 2004 and am still trying to get the rebates back. As of sometime in April or May of 2005, all the old FONcentral phone numbers and contact information are no longer active. The 1800 or any direct numbers that were active before are all disconnected. After tons of research, I find out that part of FONcentral's previous orders were filled by a company called A1. A1 is now owned by InPhonic.com. InPhonic.com now fills part of FONcentral's orders. InPhonic.com Office of the President's phone number is 202-333-0001, they are out of Washington, DC at 1010 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20007. However, after many calls with them, I am still getting no where. They tell me that they have nothing to do with FONcentral's previous rebates because they are not the company that rans them. They also tell me that they do not have any contact information for FONcentral. If they are now the phone order centeral for FONcentral, why don't they have FONcentral's current contact information. They are obviously helping FONcentral hide from responsibilty. I would advise you to call InPhonic.com with your questions on your rebates. Because they seem to be the best bet at this point. If anyone of you had the same issues with FONcentral.com, I would advise you to file complaint with your local Better business bureau at www.bbb.org and your local attorney general. Also, I would post the incidents on other message boards so other would know, because I am sure we are not the only ones with this issue. Other than that, I don't know what else to do either.

The are one among the worsts. As always is the case, pre-purchase treatment was ok but post-purchase experience was horrible. Firstly they did not send all the accessories they advertised. Secondly when I called, it took 2 months to receive it.

Now comes the worst part. REBATE. They are absolutely pathetic. I submitted all the required documents well before the deadline. It has been 10 months since purchase and I have not received the rebate yet. I tried emailing them but it got bounced. I used email address listed on their website (sales@FONcentral.com). The phone numbers listed there are
800 973 0691 and 800 890 8554. Second one no longer exists. First one it automatic-assistance service with no option to reach a real person.
They are not reliable at all. They changed their phone numbers or may be cancelled to save all the trouble and never informed customers about it. It is horrible esp. in a buyer's market. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM or YOU WILL REGRET. If you have a phone #, where I can reach them or an email address, please let me know and it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!

Rebates will never come unless you call...they are obviously not sending ANY rebates unless you call them. My T-Mobile rebate came promptly, but the one from FONcentral didn't ever show up. I called them, and they immediately said it "fell through the cracks". They didn't look anything up, that was their instant response...in other words, they know they aren't sending any rebates unless asked. The check that finally came was handwritten, dated the day that i called them.

Additionally, their phone people hung up on me when I asked what "fell through the cracks" meant. I did not use any profanities, simply asked what it meant, and if I could speak with a supervisor. If ordering from here, do not expect your rebate.

They are really bad. They switched my service just after they shipped the phones. They phones were activited when they were in shipment. I was without phones for more than one week.

The rebate service is even worse. I never got my $100 rebate. They have on way of tracing it!!

took 6 months and 8 phone calls to get my rebate, and when i finally got it, it's only half of what they advertised. I am supposed to get a $50 rebate for my Nokia 6610, and they insist it's only $25 when I had the original rebate form right in front of me! They also tried everything they can to avoid honoring the rebate, they'll "accidentally" forgot to give you the rebate form, and when you asked for it, they send you the wrong one. Even after you submit the rebate, they'll claim the amount is not what they advertised. So, DO NOT BUY from them. They also operate under different business names, "Mobile City Direct" is one of them.
