I ordered tulips from Breck's last fall. They took forever to ship, but they are absolutely beautiful coming up this spring. They are absolutely huge and have been in bloom for over 10 days already. I ordered bulbs about 8 weeks ago for "spring shipping and planting". I was expecting to have them already, but am still waiting. I was charged about a week after I placed my order. I received something that said they were shipped, however I'm still waiting. When I called (after several emails were not responded to), I was told they could take up to 8 weeks to arrive as they were coming from the Netherlands via Sea. So, I'm still waiting. So, w/ my tulips, the quality seems to be good, but as I've learned with my orders this year...don't expect them to come for several months and don't expect good customer service. The reps have been very rude, emails don't get answered, and most of the time when trying the customer service # (not a 800#), you're told to call back because they're busy and several times when I've gotten a rep and they hear it's a complaint, their "computers go down".

Shipping is slow (at least for bulbs). That's because 1) they ship in the fall (so if you order in March, it's going to be 6 months before you get your order), 2 they ship from Holland. This takes a while.
I ordered 60 pink tulips last August. I received in October. They look great this Spring -- except that they're light yellow. Called Customer Service (was on hold for about 2 minutes) got a free re-shipment of 60 pink tulips. The CSR was very apologetic about this mix-up and offered to give me a refund instead of re-shipping.

called customer service about changing the delivery address on my order. they couldn't do it. but the worst part is that the woman was rude beyond belief. she plain didn't care. my order never showed up to the old address. (i don't think my parents would lie about an order not showing up.) called again. another csr again was rude and said they couldn't do anything about since their end showed it was shipped. finally had to do a charge back on the credit card.
sheesh!

it took 35 days for my shipment to arrive from Netherlands... wow! Must be via sea. At least it arrives... I am happy.

keep your email confirmation and compare that to their invoice - they keep charging me full price for all the items (each item sent separately) and didn't factor in $25 off $50 coupon :/

Good quality but a bit expensive for my taste.

I placed my order online end of August and based on their shipping schedule for my zone, the open/packing date is beginning of September. Expecting my order to be charged in September and arrive in early October, I placed my order. I received a partial shipment in the later part of October with the rest of my orders on back-ordered. I did not hear from Brecks again.
In mid-November I emailed Brecks and was informed that my credit card information was rejected. When I placed my order online, my credit card information was valid but by the time they charged the order, the credit card had expired. It is apparent that they were not interested in my business, as they did not have the courtesy to send me an email informing me that they needed the new expiry date on my credit card.
