Although their shipping time is extremely slow, I've never had a problem getting a book. After my first order with them, though, I learned to order items well in advance of when I would need them. Make sure you are buying from A1 and not one of their associates to get the best ship time, and note that ship time on their site means how many days before they SEND the item out, not how many days it will take to receive the item...I think many people misunderstand this.

Took them 2 weeks to let me know the item is 'not available', this is unacceptable. Interestingly, 2 weeks after that they still offer it on their webpage and other merchants don't have any problem shipping this item. Communication is very poor and all I got was a 'we refunded your money' Email.

I regret making a purchase here. The textbook never arrived and I was forced to cancel my class because of that. I hope this scum sucking company is put out of their misery by going out of business given the amount of pain they seem to have caused customers.

The worst online experience ever. I should have checked in here before shopping on the site. I received a damaged book that I had to return at my expense and to make matters worse had to pay a restocking fee. I tried to contact the company but only received automated responses via email.

I never received the item I ordered. It was a $20 book that they shipped via USPS mail & they did not use insurance or signature confirmation. They sent me a "delivery confirmation" # that proves that something they shipped was delivered somewhere in my zip code. USPS may have accidentally lost it, but the A1customer service said I had to resolve the issue with USPS. USPS of course said what A1books should have known - delivery confirmation does not guarantee the item was delivered to the correct address - it just means it was delivered someplace. I don't know about you, but I get my neighbors mail from time to time - it happens. Since there is no insurance USPS can't do anything for me. I contacted A1books asking them to send another copy since USPS lost it, and they said they can't do anything for me. They'll save $20 by not sending another copy but they'll loose a customer or two & will see this ugly review forever. In the end they'll lose more.

The website could have been faster and easier to use. The product pricing was really good and delivery was faster than what they promised! Would use them again. You have to search their site, but they do sell electonics too and at times have really good deals.
