I went to their website to sell a book back. It asks for the ISBN, but nothing else. So, I entered the ISBN and they were buying it back. I sent it and waited for a check, but nothing came. When I checked the status online it said rejected. I thought that was strange, so I e-mailed them to find out why. She (Jennifer) says that they are only buying the paperback version not the loose leaf and they will be happy to throw it away for me or I can pay $10 to get it back. I searched through the site for terms and conditions and I went to my page to see if it specified which format and nothing. I e-mailed again asking why I have to pay for my book when the site should specify the format. Needless to say it took a week to get a response and then it was rude. She said the site clearly states that rejected books will be destroyed and they are offering to return it at my expense as a courtesy! I searched the site again for keywords like: trash, destroy, discard, reject and still nothing about the treatment of rejected books. $10 may not seem like a lot, but when you are unemployed and selling a book that you paid more than $100 for for $50 it is monumental. I just don't understand how they can get away with ripping people off. They sell loose leaf books on their website. I also don't understand how the BBB still gives them an A when they have hundreds of bad ratings and ripoff claims on at least 5 websites. Wow! How is this a courtesy to me?

This is a HORRIBLE company!! Books are not in stock as claimed, customer service is TERRIBLE, and even the representative told me they charge EVERYONE for books not returned within 6 days, even if you sent them out on time, and in fact my books were sitting there NOT checked in as I was being charged! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!! TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH!! DO NOT ORDER FROM eCampus!!!

I used to order from eCampus.com even though their prices were a little bit higher than some other retailers, but after my recent encounter with my first return with them, I would DEFINATELY not recommend this company. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVES WERE NOT SENSITIVE OR UNDERSTANDING AT ALL. Their return policy is ambiguous (and of course their interpretation is the only one they will accept). I tried to return my book and found out that I missed the deadline by 6 days (according to their interpretation of the return policy, I was late by 12 days) and when I asked that they return my book, they refused saying that it was my fault for sending it into them and that they did not have to give it back, according to their interpretation of their policy. I even offered to pay for the return shipping to me, but they would not help. So, I paid $121 for the book and they only offered me $40 of store credit (which they only offered me $30 at first before I had to show them how upset I was).
THEY TOOK MY BOOK, SOLD IT NEW, MADE DOUBLE THE PROFIT SINCE THEY FIRST SOLD IT TO ME, AND THEN PROBABLY TO ANOTHER POOR STUDENT, AND I STILL HAVE TO BUY FROM THEM ONE MORE TIME TO USE MY CREDIT. This is a horrible company to buy from since it pracitices unfair policies and poor customer service.
On another note the rep. asked me if Wal-Mart would return an item to me that was sent in for return, though I didn't have a response at the time. I would say now that Wal-Mart would not deny me a return, at the very least they would offer a store credit for the full amount of purchase because they are a more respectable company with much more customer service oriented return policies.

eCampus.com was the fastest and most efficient way to get my books ever. I didnt even have to wait for the shipping because all of my book were available as eBooks. I also priced all of the books out at my campus bookstore and i saved over $200 by buying the eBook versions. Awesome website, Awesome service!

I just received 3 new textbooks I ordered from eCampus. Shipped and arrived just as their website and emails promised (less than 2 weeks from ordering to receiving with free shipping). Books were in perfect shape upon arrival. Just placed another order for 7 MORE textbooks that I just found out I needed today. $457 at campus store, $379 at eCampus minus FC, on top of the $30 I saved with the first order. I will definitely do business with this company in the future.

AVOID this site. It's a sham, if not a scam. 343 (and counting) Better Business Bureau complaints in the past year. Do a search on "eCampus sucks" and you'll see countless others who got conned by them.

Lies about books in stock and promise of delivery! I didn't have a textbook for my course for half of a semester and finally I had to buy it somewhere else. Poor customer service! I will never EVER purchase any books from them again!

Not honest for promise of delivery.

This company is NOT HONEST AT ALL! I ordered 3 books but only 2(novels on clearance) arrived on time, and the 3rd one, which is a very expensive textbook didn't come with them. The weird thing is all the 3 books share the same tracking number which means they should have come together. I sent them emails but never heard back from them! Well, I called them and the CS representative told me it's the responsibility of the delivery department so she has no idea about that. But I ordered books from eCampus but not a single delivery department! Anyway, at last they agreed to send me the textbook separtely, which I received about a week later(too late for my open-book-midterm though). And now it has been more than a month and I still haven't received the free Tshirt which is supposed to come with my books(well, even if I have it, I probably won't wear it cuz now just seeing the company's name makes me feel sick). btw, it's so hard to reach their representitives since the line is always busy!!! So you'd better give it a second thought if you're considering buying stuff from eCampus.
