I bought some wireless headphones. They broke right away. I called to return them and they said they would pay for return postage. But they did not and did not reimburse. eCost is horrible.

I just ordered an item not 5 hours ago, and found that I had made a mistake - called customer service and they told me that the sale was final! I can't return, exchange, or refuse the package! Jerks! I was totally cheated out of my money. I'm a very unsatisfied customer.

I was unhappy to see that the tax was not added during computation of total amount. Only found out the tax after I was at the checkout. Item was supposed to be refurbished but the item shows dirt, scratches and the case of the ipod has cracks on it. Definitely a used item. Very unhappy. Dont buy from this store anymore.

i'm really disappointed at eCost. I placed an order of Epson printer, and they shipped me a cartrige, which doesn't match the model number I ordered. When I asked them in email, they replied that i should call. I called and they said i have to place another order for the printer I ordered! Later i figured out that the model I order costs $1200 or something, but the website gives the price at $12. When i checked later, they removed the printer. So it seems that they made a mistake with the price, and they shipped a cartrige to fix their problem. What a company! Shame on them! I would never buy from them any more!

in addition to my previous comment. I bought a gps receive about a year ago at eCost but it is defective now. Back of the receipt says eCost would help customer to get the warranty work. So I called so called eCost customer or headache center. I was told they can not do anything. After telling what is written behind the receipt at least ten times, the rep finally accept to open a support ticket and said I would receive a call within 48 hours about the outcome. Almost a month has passed but never heard of anything yet from the eCost. They are like playing a theater with you based on lies. I would never never buy from eCost.com.

don't buy at eCost. I called 20 minutes after order placed. I was told order is in processing and should call after order is received. I called after order was received but told that all sales are final and I can not return anything. Terrible service and won't accept anything even if it is their fault. Don't be mistaken by a couple items on sale at eCost, do yourself a favor, buy another store and save yourself headache..

terrible order handling and customer service. to be fair, I have "only" ordered from them two times in about four years. but my latest experience ensured I'll probably never order from them again. normally I get my techy stuff from Dell and Buy.com but they sent me a couple deals I couldn't resist.

I have always received their sale emails for years and strongly considered ordering from them several other times. the biggest problem in the past was they had these awful handling fees on top of shipping and tax! not to mention everyone hates their rebates (which I never use). thanks but no thanks. but a while back they eliminated handling fees, only keeping their exorbitant $10 ground shipping costs on tiny items. this time, I got a bluetooth headset for $16.95, a very good deal and ordered 2 wireless mouse/keyboard combos which were being blown out at $10 apiece.

the "real time" product information on their site said there were 4-5 headsets left, and least 3 keyboards left, limit 2 per customer and it showed this number for the 20 minutes I was on their site (I'd seen other items being updated, so assumed it was reasonably accurate). if not, no big deal right? just cancel my order if they became unavailable. a day later, I got an email confirming my order was shipped. the NEXT day, I got an email saying 2 of my items (the keyboards) had been cancelled! When I wrote a nasty but effective email to their orders@ and feedback email addresses, they simply replied, these were cancelled due to the item being out of stock. no crap! why not send me a notice earlier so I could have the option of cancelling the entire order? at the very least, hold my order until I confirm that I still want the headset + exorbitant shipping fee, making it only an "OK" value.

these people are freakin' useless I tell you. I wouldn't recommend them to one of my worst enemies. it's like the e-commerce equivalent of brick-and-mortar Fry's Electronics (if you live in California, you know what I mean). probably worse

I bought three recertified items (wireless keyboard/mouse combo, bluetooth headset and 32" LCD TV) from eCost.com as Christmas gifts last year. Two items (keyoboard & headset) do NOT work! If the products are called recertified products, the least they could do was put them in new boxes. The box for the keyboard was completely crushed, opened and taped to hold it together. The bluetooth headset was just enclosed in a small vinyl bag without any instructions. I called to ask for an exchange for the defect products, but they told me to contact the manufacturer and get a defect product number then call them back. Lastly, the 32" LCD TV, which was supposed to arrive on 12/21, according to their tracking, was picked up by myself at a DHL location on 12/27. I'd like to thank eCost for ruining my Christmas! DO NOT EVER BUY FROM eCost.
