Please note that we are located in Aix-en Provence (France) and due to the time difference it can be difficult to speak to someone in our office. We have since learned from our mistakes and decided to open a brand new office in Pensacola (Florida) in order to cover 20 hours a day our customer service.
Since November 2009, we switched from an html site over to flash. Our goal in upgrading to flash was to create a website that was easy, creative and fun to navigate.
You can display your preferred currency in your account for your convenience however note as we are based in France we will charge you in Euros. Some banks can take additional fees for the international transaction and unfortunately this is out of our control.
As for the fuel surcharge, we do not intend for this to be a sneeky cost at all. In fact, you'll see on line that there is a dedicated paragraph regarding the fuel surcharge.
Our chocolates are hand made by the World Champion chocolatier (Pascal Caffet). I understand that our gourmet chocolates seem expensive but I assure you that their supreme quality, all natural and fresh ingredients justify their price. However they do not contain any preservatives this is why we advise you to consume them within three weeks after delivery.

Their product is somewhat better than other Choco store such as Godiva but service sucks real big time. At least from my experience Godiva customer service bends over backward to resolve any problems and issues. These guys will sell old product that is supposedly best before a couple month ago as fresh product. And they recommend eating it within one week? Also I have never seen a company fight so hard not to pay you rebates as this company yet. There are other issues but will take forever to write it down here. Just do yourself a favor and stay FAR FAR away from this company. And to this I have been their customer for a bit. If you want something better than Godiva, you can try Leonidas instead.

I would say the chocolates are very good. However, their website is a little misleading. Although, prices are displayed in US dollars, the price varies as it needs to be converted to Euros. So, I was quite surprised to see my credit card charged for $4.00 more than the price of when I placed the order, on top of that there is also a Euros conversion fee that was charged by my credit card company (which is not their fault, but it might affect others who purchase from them). Also note, that there is a $5 fuel charge that is separate from shipping that you won't see until the final page of order submission. Their customer service was not very helpful, as I requested that they be more explicit in their advertisement of prices in US dollars need to be converted to Euros.
Overall, I would say it's good chocolate. However, it is not better than some of the domestic companies. Had I known, it would have been cheaper to buy from L.A. Burdick and just as good.
