GameStop is for gamers, especially those who are budget conscious. They have continually got the best prices and frequent price drops on new games, with free shipping (coupon code: SAVER). For used games the prices are similar to half.com and Amazon.com, but the items are often in poor condition. It's leagues better than other retail stores, however. GameStop has every game available on the recent systems(Wii, PS2, DS, X360, PS3, GC, GBA, etc.), but unfortunately has not got any older games.

GameStop is an average store. They seem to hike prices for a few games which I find dishonest and their used game prices are ridiculously overpriced. They haven't been able to guarantee my preorder bonuses for some games lately which I find highly deceptive since that's the reason I preorder games from them.

Purchased Guitar Hero 3. Accidentally scratched the disk and it would no longer play. Brought it to a retail store, exchanged without much hassle. All this during holiday shopping season in a crowded store.

I'll checkout GameStop first the next time I'm shopping for games. Had the lowest price on a game I was looking for and even applied a $5.00 price drop that occurred a day after I had ordered the game.

I'm really quite surprised at the low rating for customer support. I have found GameStop's customer support to be the best I've ever had, at any company -- no hold, no hide-the-ball, with very friendly, well-informed, smart representatives.
