As a former Employee, Our Kmart store in Farmington Hills, MI would issue several hundred rainchecks per day and stick them in a huge storage room on the 2nd floor. We were always so short staffed that we never had time or money from phone use to contact the customer when the product did come in. The store would do its advertising 3 months in advance so there would never be a guarantee that the item would ever be in. I myself alone wrote 83 Rainchecks for a one (1) toy item in the toy department. And our manager told us that we simply don't have the money or the manpower to contact the customers about when their item comes in. So if you get a written raincheck, You will have to do your own research and come back to the store to get that product because the store employees nor management will never contact you whether by phone, email or US Mail about your item. Of course management will respond stating that I am a "Disgruntled worker" as an excuse. But hey don't take MY word for it, Check it out for yourselfs.

-Ordered item still wasn't delivered after 2 weeks.
-Spoke to an incredibly rude customer service rep.
-Rep informed me that the item was actually not in stock when I ordered it, and they were not planning on getting it in stock in the future.
-The website still does not report this item as out of stock, and neither did my order confirmation e-mail.

K-Mart will not pay for return shipping despite it being their fault they sent the wrong product. They admit the discription and photo was wrong but the stock number was correct. They get away with this becuase their is a loophole disclaimer on the terms of use for kmart.com

So basically if you order a item, let say a table, and they send you a toothbrush and the stock numbers are correct... then you just got a VERY expensive toothbrush. Yes you could return it and get the money back and so could I but the return postage is on me.

The BIG problem here is when the item they send you is very large and expensive to ship back and you don't have a location near you.

ONLY consider Kmart.com if you have B&M location near you and are fine with putting up alot of hassle.

The shipping information is kind of cheating. The shipping cost will change at the Review Step if you buy more than one of the same stuff. So be careful, if you didn't notice that, you will have to pay a lot more than you expected.

This link now goes to kmart.com which I have not used. Their dvd prices look very high. I did use bluelight.com last year while they had a $25 off $75 coupon and had great service. I think they forgot to charge me for one of the dvds I bought, Seven Samurai: Criterion.
