SCAM! I already filed a complaint with the BBB NY, and B&H Photo never responded.
I ordered the product online on March 13, 2013. It was never delivered to my address, even as of July 8, 2013. I had paid in full at the time. (Product: + Shipping to Saudi Arabia ).
I ordered from B&H Photo in the past, and products were delivered to me in Saudi Arabia, and the United States, therefore I assumed my money was safe. On July 8th I asked for a refund for the full amount due to their non delivery, and negligence in handling my order. The Drop Ship rep agreed to the refund. He later said I would get the refund for the product, and NOT for "services & duties". I received my refund for the product to my credit card for JUST the product.
I have complained several times to the refund the full amount Customer Service and Drop Ship Team Head over the phone, but have no further response. Why am I being charged for a service I never received? Delivery was never made. There is no proof that I have received the product, and refused delivery.
B&H Photo simply does not care, once they get their money. Very unethical, avoid like the plague.
My last option is to take them to small claims court, with an easy victory, when I swing by NYC. I am willing to do this even though it will cost me as much as I am owed, but at least I can publicize the scam.

Yesterday I went into their super store in Mahattan to purchase a Panosonic Lumix Underwater Camera. The process was very smooth and I was soon standing outside. Upon opening my camera, I noticed there were no seal's on any of the inside packaging such as the battery, camera or strap...etc. When I plugged in the battery to charge, the light was off in less than 5 minutes which told me the battery had already been charged. When I took a picture and reviewed it, there were several other pictures on there from someones house who owned the camera before me.....this is unacceptable business to sell a used product as "new". I went to J and R and purchased my new camera from them after returning by camera to B&H. All the return desk man could say was that they people had a really nice house from the pictures. BAD BUSINESS!

This is probably the best place to purchase camera/photo equipment. I have purchased many cameras for myself and friends from B&H and never had a problem. Customer service is excellent. Once I had to return a tripod, and they gave me a full refund. Other online retailers do not do that.

I've also been shopping with B&H for over a decade for all of my photo equipment, and I can say I would not even consider shopping anywhere else(unless the deal was THAT unbelievable, of course!) They have never failed to impress me, all of my orders have arrived incredibly fast & in perfect condition! They have always been so helpful, and even more so in person! This is not self-promotion at all, just a rave review from an extremely happy customer!

I've been ordering from them for years ranging from camera lens accessories to large bulks of film. I trust them to fill my large orders in a timely manner and best of all, they usually offer the BEST prices anywhere.
Great place to buy online and they're professional to boot.

I seem to be the only person with a problem with B&H, so either these comments are self-promotion or I'm alone. Anyhow, I placed an order, received a call to verify address information. Anyhow, I did and my order was on its way. Well, the customer service agent screwed up my address, half from my billing address and half from my shipping address. I called to straighten it out (spending nearly 2 hours on the phone), and they claimed everything was good and I should get my order on time. It doesn't come. They called UPS, but they again screwed up my address. My requests were all by email and B&H knows they messed up. Anyhow, if your order does go through without a hiccup it's a good place to order from. Just don't expect any level of customer service nor assistance if they screw up your order.

They're known for brusque manners sometimes, and they're not the best place to get advice for competing products. But just about everything else about them is top-notch -- products, prices, money-back guarantees. I once had a problem with a sales rep in the store, and I emailed B&H about it and within a day I got a personal letter from the head of training addressing the incident. Recommended.

B&H Photo is basically a place you can trust. Decent prices, great selection.
These guys are a long time staple in photography. They've been around much longer than most of these online shopping sites... they've been around longer than the internet! When I was a student in the late 80's-early 90s, I would shop from them!
I've purchased personal and professional equipment from them. They are a name you can trust. If your in New York... stop by thier store... you'll see they arent some fly-by-night internet scam shop, like a lot of the places out there.

I've made a couple of small phone purchases from B&H and have not had any problems. My first purchase was a Nikon SB30 flash and bracket for Coolpix 4500. A couple of weeks ago I purhased a Tiffen filter set. I saw a sales flier from them at the PhotoExpo in NY and used their coupon code for the filters. Both orders were shipped quickly and I was very satisfied.
They also put me on their mailing list. They have a couple of LARGE catalogs that they send out with various type of products like cameras, lighting, and home electronics.
