Also, their tracking numbers for items that have shipped have never been valid for me.

Extremely disappointing!! I've ordered about 3 or 4 times. I've received the wrong item and poorly packed plants, but I gave the benefit of the doubt. Each time, the shipping estimate would change, but it wasn't too far off. Well, this last time pushed me too far. My order had a ship date for Aug. As that got closer it changed to Sept. Now it is up to Oct.
I called to find out when it'd really ship. The rep was very snarky. She keep reading the invoice to me. I told her I understood that b/c I saw it on my screen too. I just wanted to know an accurate date since it kept changing. I understand about the zones, seasonal shipping etc. but I cannot comprehend why they give such inaccurate ship times. I had to cancel my order b/c I can't stand to give them anymore of my money. That made the pckt of seeds I already received very expensive with shipping!! I think they oversell without knowing if or when the items will be restocked.
Their stock is not as great as some reviews say either. I also tried to contact them via email. I typed my whole message out and sent it. The next day, I found an "undeliverable message/server not found" in my inbox. I tried again and the same thing happened.

I ordered on May 23rd. When I did not receive my order after ten days, I logged into my account to see that EVERYTHING I ordered was backordered and would ship by June 25th. I logged into my account on June 26th to check the tracking number and discovered my whole order had disappeared except for one item that would ship in SEPTEMBER!!!!! I called customer service and spoke to Christine who told me that everything I ordered was unavailable (after waiting for it to ship for a whole month) and that she hoped this experience would not keep me from ordering from Gurney's again. HAHAHA Hell will freeze over before I do business with this company again! What kind of company takes an order, doesn't ship it for a month and then just cancels it without informing the customer? (one that will soon be out of business I hope)

I ordered plants and the ones I have so far received were dead. I sent an inquiry via their website and was sent a polite and prompt email reply that a credit would be issued (it was).

I was unhappy about the order process because I sent the original order, saw that I wanted to sub one of the items and sent a message within minutes of ordering but was notified a few days later that no changes could be made even though the item I wanted to change was not schedule to ship (and has not yet delivered even). That was disappointing.

I placed an order online for seeds only. According to their website, seed-only orders would ship "immediately". I receieved an email NINE DAYS later telling me that my seeds had just shipped. (Apparently 9 days later is "immediately" to Gurneys.)

Five days after my seeds allegedly shipped, nothing had arrived. (Gurney's is a neighboring state, shipping should be very quick no matter how they were sent). The tracking number Gurney's provided was invalid.

I emailed Gurneys about this and received a worthless form letter. I emailed them again, demanding to know the whereabouts of my seeds and a refund of my shipping fees, as we were well past 2 weeks now on an order that was supposed to ship "immediately".

I have not, to date, received any other email replies from them, nor my seeds, nor a refund, nor any explanation. I had no choice but to dispute the charges with my credit card company.

Further, when I placed my order online, I used a 10% off discount code that came with my catalog. However, when I added the code to my shopping cart, the 10% came off, but my shipping fees went from $4.85 to $5.95 for the same merchandise! (I added no other merchandise, but the shipping rate went up after using the discount code!) Nice deceptive business practice there, Gurneys! I contacted them about this too with the same response - NONE!
