I have also bought numerous items from RedEnvelope, and I have always had a great experience. While they are a bit pricey, there items also always look classy. And they package them in a great way. I always feel good giving a gift from RedEnvelope.

They apparently just don't know how to handle the holidays well. Their website goes from showing my ordered, cancelled, to backordered, and ready to ship almost at a whim. It takes forever to reach customer service who seem as confused as the website. Right now they are comitting that two of four items ordered will be shipped, and two have actually been cancelled. (When I called yesterday I was promised they would all be shipped and received today). By far the worst online holiday shopping experinece I've had in the last 10 years of holiday shopping online.

Love their selection of interesting gifts, but wish they were not quite so expensive. But I have never been disappointed with them. They ship fast, the gift arrives in good condition and as pictured. Overall, a good retailer if you have the money to spend on them.

I have bought MANY gifts from RedEnvelope, then only find out the same product I ordered is somewhere else at a much lower price.
Good customer service, as I have had problems with the orders sometimes. My number one pet peeve-they sometimes make the product look much better on their site than in person...I actually returned products because they looked very cheaply made.

I have bought MANY things from RedEnvelope.com in the past, especially this past Christmas. I have never had an order come out wrong, and they have come in time. Their regular prices can be high, yes, but they are quality items and are usually unique items, too. Their sales are really great, and it is good if you can catch free shipping promotions b/c that can save some money. The customer service has always been fast and pleasant. I like the feature where you can chat live with a Customer Support Representative instead of having to call someone on the phone and be disconnected or have to wait 30 minutes. The site is really nice, easy to use, and carries high-end items.

NOT A SECURE SHOPPING EXPERIANCE!
When you order from RedEnvelope, they send you an email with your username AND password. A person might as well send their Credit Card number through email. ANYONE can access this information, along with address, phone, etc. If you value your credit card number, do not purchase from this site.

I asked that they delete my account after my order went through because of this. They did not.

A little pricey but you can find some great gifts here. Even my computer challenged father found great enjoyment browsing their selection of unique products and put together an order by himself just recently. From time to time they offer free shipping or other promotions so be sure to check Fatwallet first before ordering.
