May of 2011 Todd Wilson Short was released from prison.

I received a threatening email from Todd Short that he would file suit. He has filed many frivlous lawsuits. One for 27,000,00 against the owner of this website. Get a grip Todd Short...you are incompetent! (According to the courts).

Go to this link for lots more information about this case.

The reason that JCM/Todd Short's bankruptcy filing was thrown out of court is simple: Todd didn't hire a lawyer and tried to "do it himself," in clear violation of Bankruptcy Court rules that require a corporation to be represented by a lawyer. PayPal, JCM/Todd Short's biggest creditor, filed a motion to dismiss the case, and the court had to agree under its own rules.

What's next? Big creditors like PayPal are now free to go after JCM's assets, if they can find anything. Small guys like us would need to get a court judgement, then hire a collection agency, to get anything back. I'm not optimistic.

Most important is to write and encourage law enforcement officials to take appropriate action against this guy. I'd suggest writing to Robert Conrad, the U.S. Attorney for Western North Carolina, who will be the one to file criminal charges in this case. Write him a nice letter asking when he plans to act:

Robert Conrad
US Attorney, Western North Carolina
U.S. Courthouse
227 West Trade Street
Suite 1700
Charlotte, NC 28202

I had asimilar bad experience where my money was transferred from my debit account directly into their account, via Pay Pal. Until one week before making their intentions to go bankrupt, they were sending me emails that my product will be shipped next week. Never happened and I am out $1300 for a Laptop I never got.
Recent Update: A few days ago I got a letter in the mail from the US Bankruptcy Court stating that the court has ordered to dismiss the bankruptcy filing. What does this means now? Any clues???

I filled in the online form for the Asheville BBB. Here's their super-helpful response!

Thank you. We are aware of the Atlanta BBB's report.

I sent a compaint to BBB questioning why the JC Morris' bad record was whipped off overnight. Here is the response I received from BBB:

Businesses DO NOT buy of the BBB. Point of fact is that we are having a problem with out seb hosting vendor, who has not posted the complaint information not only for JC Morris, but for every other company we have a file on.

So, It is not just one company.

We are working to get this problem solved as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Dean E. Smith
BBB of Metro Atlanta

Take care of filing form B10 with the bankruptcy cout
This is what I received from them.
How is it possible that you are even granting hearings for chapter 11 petition to JC Morris. They took money from costumers knowing they were not going to be able to deliver merchandise. I am a costumer, and there are dozens like me that were deceived by JC Morris. I hope you really review their case. They white collar thieves trying to hide behind the law.

You can file a proof of claim in this case. Go to our website at www.ncwb.uscourts.gov

Scroll to Official Documents on the left hand side of the page. Select item #10 (proof of claim), and file it with the court.
You should receive official notification from the court about the filing, but if you don't, the address is:

U. S. Bankruptcy Court
Asheville Division
100 Otis Street, Room 112
Asheville, NC 28801

I should have said.......under Court Documents, select Official Forms and then select item #10.

Good Luck.
