I had to use customer support via Live Chat, and it was great! I had a super friendly representative who was very helpful. They are prompt in trying to verify your prescription, too. They only wait 24 hours for the eye doctor to call back.

Price matched with a smile and superfast shipping plus a nice sized rebate - couldn't ask for more! Very impressed. Certainly the best contact lens supplier I have ever purchased from. On 8 boxes I saved well over $100 compared with Costco prices and that's before the rebate!

Found a 6 month supply of contacts (Acuvue Oasys) for >$15 cheaper than WalMart. Shipping was really fast and also they gave me a free contact lens case. Great company.

1800 Contacts has tightened up its rules (2003) and IS checking for current prescriptions by calling doctor's offices. The service is fast and convenient. If you live in a small town without the benefit of competition, this is the way to go to get contacts. The customer service was friendly and helpful.

My only concern with them is that I have friends that haven't been to an eye doctor in a long time that keep ordering from them. It seems to me they should be able to enforce the prescription policy better.

I have seen contacts for slightly less in WalMart. Other than that I would rate 1800Contacts a perfect 10. They shipped fast and everything was as ordered. Simple and easy to do business with.
