Like most others, I have had a ton of frustration in dealing with 6Ave's order fulfillment process. It's the same experience many of you have encountered so it's redundant to repeat. See last review by "saucerman". After a full week, I am still waiting for confirmation that the product has been shipped. No information online whatsoever and repeated calls to their customer no-service reps only yielded the canned "within 24-48 hours". This would be my first and last order with these clowns!

Their web site does not match their true inventory. I placed an order over the web and confirmed my order via the phone. They told me shipping the item would be 24-48 hours and that I would receive a shipping confirmation. After the allotted time I placed another call and they assured me that it would be on the truck the next day. The next day I checked the web site and the tv I had ordered had since been listed as back ordered. So I called again only to get a completely different answer....we are waiting for shipment to arrive. When asked why wasn't I informed and why wasn't their web site consistent with inventory they offered little knowledge and told me the tv would be 7-10 days prior to actual delivery. It went from being in stock to on the truck tomorrow to being on back order. I find this unacceptable in this day and age through software control. I simply canceled my order went through Vann's and will never bother with this store again no matter how competitive their prices seem to be....after all if its a good price and no product how good is that.

Just purchased a Panasonic 46" 1080p plasma. Ordering was fine. Was very disappointed in the complete lack of ability to track my order. No tracking information was ever provided online, and when I called on two separate occasions, all CSR would say was "it's been shipped, shipping company will contact you when the truck is in your area to set up a delivery date." I honestly had no idea if it was coming in a few days or a few weeks--or at all. Finally, one week after ordering, I did get a call from the delivery company, set up delivery for the next day. In the end, everything was fine: Panel was new, unopened, warranty card intact, no damage or funny grey market stuff. Delivery guy helped me carry it inside my house, uncrate the panel, assemble stand, and lift the panel onto the stand--all this when I only selected the free "curbside" delivery (although delivery guy had no affiliation with 6Ave).

All in all, a pretty good experience. 6Ave's price was easily the lowest I had seen, hundreds less than B&M stores, and the lowest I'd seen online as well. Main thing was ability to track the shipment would have added some piece of mind after making such a large purchase. But that's a small price to pay for such substantial savings. I would buy from them again.

I recently ordered a 32 inch Samsung LCD from this site and had absolutely no problems. I found an online coupon discount for 6 percent off immediately and free shipping. This (coupon) site has an ongoing 5% off discount as well as free shipping so do your homework. The item I bought was on sale so this was the best deal on the net and a couple of hundreds less the the box retailers. Ordered Monday, received on Friday, NJ to Ohio. I'm happy. Would buy from again.

Probably should have listened to people regarding the TERRIBLE service at 6Ave.com I placed an order with them on Saturday and the took the billing/shipping information down incorrectly. I called back and they assured me it was the right information. My order gets canceled due to incorrect address. I tried a second time and was very clear over the phone about the billing/shipping address. It happened again they inputted the wrong information. They were very rude on the phone and I canceled my order. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

My WORST online buying experience. I found their customer service to be unsympathetic and unresponsive. They charged me shipping for a package anyone in their right mind would refuse. I purchased an AV receiver from 6ave.com on 2/2 and it was delivered to my home without my signature. The corners of the box were open, packing materials were coming out, the side of the box was bowing due to water damage (still wet), and sand covered the box. Once in DHL’s hands, 6ave would not send out a new receiver until the original was received. I never heard from 6ave again, even after they received the shipment. I mailed a letter detailing my experience to the corporate office and received a reply from their Director of Operations, apologizing for my experience, stating that I would have a resolution by week’s end. This was almost 3 weeks ago, no response. Only after I checked my credit card did I see that I received a PARTIAL refund. Overall buying from 6ave has been a horrible experience.

The company advertise different price on their website than actual price on store.i brought a dvd player and i was charged $128.The same item was advertised for $108 in their website and they refuse to price adjust the difference.They ripped me off $20.The cutomer service manager was very rude also.please check their website before you buy a item.

One of the best online retailers I've ever dealt with. Great prices and a nice selection of electronics plus the DVD Recorder I ordered shipped for only $0.06. Thats right 6 cents and many of their items ship at this price. My only complaint about them is at checkout there is a required Credit Card telephone number section that I have never even seen on another site and my credit card didn't have a telephone number anywhere on it, so I had to order over the phone. The csr was super nice and very helpful. He never tried to sell me anything (protection plan, accesories.......) as someone stated in an earlier review. I placed the order around 1 pm and he said it would ship in 24 to 48 hours but I received a shipping notification email from them later that evening and had the recorder at my home in 2 days. Overall I couldn't be happier I chose to shop with them.

I bought a sony stereo system from them last year and it was the best purchasee I ever made. They were 150 dollars cheaper then BestBuy. They system works great still. I had no problems the package got to my place faster then i thought it would and i still do business with them today. The reason this post is so late because i quite checking fatwallet after finding 6thave.

I was very disappointed with the service I received from 6th Ave. I ordered a Panasonic phone on January 6th which was advertised as being "in stock" yet by January 20th it hadn’t even been shipped yet I called them on January 12th, and was told by a customer service rep that this phone was oversold and that they would have to get one from one of their local retail stores. I checked their website that day and they were still listing this item as being "in stock".....pretty poor business. Anyway, it would seem to me that if this particular phone was available at their local retail stores it could have easily been picked up, in one or two days and shipped to me. I called again yesterday (January 20th) and was told that the phone wouldn't be available for probably another two days (still at the store!), so I went ahead and cancelled my order. I immediately ordered the exact phone from Beach Camera and it has already been shipped. Got my tracking number this morning already.
