Horrible company, horrible customer service. Sent me a fried mother board and refused to replace. Good thing I paid with a CC and filed a chargeback.

Hello
This is to inform and warn you about Accubyte.com.
I bought a processor upgrade from Accubyte on 11/11/02. I paid for second day air and the shipment was delayed for around 4 days. This was the first problem, however, it went overlooked. I received the processor on 11/17/02, tried the processor, it didnt work so I called the company. I was told to call Intel for the warranty information, not given a RA number for return or told Intel does not warranty the particular product I purchased. I contacted Intel and proceeded to plead my case. Thier response time is terrible and the process was drug out over 2 and a half months. All emails are documented. I was eventually told by Intel that the product I have is not warranteed and the company I purchased it from should have informed me of that...they did not. I contacted Accubyte to confront them on why they referred me to Intel knowing I could not get a warranty. I was told my 15 day warranty was over in Nov and they could not help me. I explained my situation and the fact that I had called shortly after I had received the product and eventually threated with a BBB complaint, which has already been filed, and a letter from my lawyers with is still in process. I was told I would receive a call back when they figured out what they could do. I did receive a call back a few days later where I was told they had contacted Intel and were waiting for a response. This is the last I heard from Accubyte. This was the beginning of March. I sent numerous emails, which all are documented, and never received another word from Accubyte. I called today and worked my way through to the owner of the company where I was told he would not do anything for me and I was basically screwed because Intel doesn't warranty the processor I bought. This is unacceptable. I did not purchase the product from Intel, I purchased it from Accubyte. They have a business slogan of "We're here to help you" which is 100% unfitting. I should have checked with BBB before I thought about purchasing because they have 4 prior complaints. It would be in your best interest to cease and desist all contact with Accubyte due to their business practices and lack of follow-through.

I have had very good luck with this company. I live in Michigan, so the shipping time is excellent. Very nice guys in their customer support department.
