I recently bought the FutureDial connection cable for my Sanyo cell phone with copies of FutureDial's SnapSync and SnapDialer. The intention is to use my Cell phone as a wireless modem for my laptop.
I was able to install SnapDialer, but then I got a message that I had to
register the software (via the internet) within 7 days. At the same time I got a message that my 7 day trial period had expired (even though I had just installed it minutes ago). That's not a very smart design, is it? Personally I don't like the concept that a company sells fairly
expensive software and then they make you jump through hoops before it can be used. Anyway, the next day I went to FutureDial's website looking for how to register my software over the internet- can't find anything. That's annoying, too. I am looking for a customer service phone number to call and it turns out that FutureDial does not even provide a 800 number. So they make people jump through hoops, because they can't use your software out of the box and then you expect them to pay for long distance charges (while probably being put on hold forever) just to register the product, which in turn is a requirement for being able to use it.
