Stay away for HD if you don't have gift card to spend or a deal too good to skip. Their atitude is "I can't do anything", "I don't know how to do it", "It is not my responsibility", "Ask someone and someone who is not working today"...These atitude drive me crazy. I wanted to cancel a frage order. First they told to call deliver people. But that was Sunday and delivery department does not work on Sunday. They let me go home and wait until Monday. Then Monday morning I got hold of delivery deparnt and had them cencel the delivery. Monday night, I went to store to get refund because I paid with gift card. Well the store said they can't see the order being cancelled. They wanted me come back again to get refund. Every time they have different reason. On the phone and in person have different answer. The store personnel is arrogant.
I had my windows installed by a Home Depot contractor last year. The installation went smoothly and I did not encounter any problems. I will consider them again in the future.

I loved Home Depot when buying materials to finish my basement. I wish they offered rebates on credit card purchases like a local competitor, but still, ALBERT in Gurnee and Cathy Millener were awesome. I'll be shopping again!

I HATE that stupid self-checkout. It never works correctly, ending up wasting so much time. HD likes is because they can hire even fewer employees.

I purchased an LG TROMM dryer from Home Depot. I noticed that it did not work on auto dry. I physically presented myself to the store to speak to the manager. I was told that Home Depot never accepts returns of dryers. (I also was told by the staff that it could perform certain functions it cannot). LG has broken three repair appointments and HD's customer service has been obnoxious. Corporate confirmed the "no return" policy. This is inconsistent with their posted policy. The service desk person told me she had the same problem with her dryer not drying (it shuts off way before the clothes are dry). This is the top of line dryer and HD & LG have turned their back on the problem. I am taking this further but get the return policy on appliances in writing as I was told that they have a vendor agreement with LG, GE and possibly Maytag not to accept returns. I welcome anyone who has verifiable info to help me prove otherwise. The store could care less about customer satisfaction and LG is a piece of garbage.

Ditto to the previous post. HOMEDEPOT.COM has the most incompetent staff ever to walk the face of this earth. I've been one to never write complaints, however, after dealing with this department I can honestly say I will never shop at Home Depot again. Home Depot renegged on a deal that they promised to honor, shipped me the product at full price even though I had requested the order be cancelled and then made it nearly impossible to return the merchandise. In fact as of today they still haven't returned my money from a purchase I made on 11/27/2006. I also agree with a recent poster who reported that Home Depot doesn't seem to care that they hoodwink their customers. Through all the complaints I have made on this recent order I never felt that they sincerely cared or trusted that they would resolve the issue.

I'm begging anyone who reads this...DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE ORDER ANYTHING FROM HOMEDEPOT.COM! or the Direct Catalog They cannot handle orders OR returns/refunds. If you return an item ordered from the website, do not expect to get your refund. Go through your credit card dispute department!
