I initially looked at this site for an engagement ring, but decided to do that shopping in person, but I got my titanium wedding band here. They had a few more options than most other websites, and their prices were at least 10-20% lower than the other sites. I initially ordered 0.5 size too large, and their customer service was fabulous. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. With their great 30-day return/exchange policy, I returned the ring to them, they sent it through their service department, and I had a new smaller band within a week. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. If you look on the AMEX website, you can actually get 10% off your Blue Nile purchase, and combine it with FatCash, maybe. No tax in CA, so what a deal! Highly recommend this website. I'm considering looking for diamond earrings for my fiancee from here as well.

So After shopping around the diamond district and some jewelry stores in southern manhatten, the deal fell through and I fell back to ordering on BlueNile ( the prices were a few hundred above what i was offered via local dealers, unfortunately they gave me an ETA that was later than acceptable in my circumstance).
The website is easy to use, one of the best. I checked a bunch of websites but the overall color scheme, available diamonds and build your own ring feature of BlueNile appealed to me the most. That and I was referred to by a previous customer of theirs which was the strongest influence.
After I ordered the diamond, I asked for expedited service if possible which they advised was not. However, they did try their best, and the ring did arrive a day earlier than i hoped/expected when ordering. The original rock i ordered was not available (chipped) and they called my cell phone and had another rock on hold that was similar to what i ordered which i accepted.
Upon inquiry about the price they informed me that the refer a friend promotion and the FatWallet CashBack can not be combined (Use of coupons not found on the Blue Nile Merchant Page may void Cash Back and the refer a friend promo is not on the BlueNile's fatwallet page). They helped me take the necessary steps to correct my order and then manually corrected my order and took down my Fatwallet userid to notate the account for the FatWallet CashBack to go through (and take off the refer a friend promo i used). This level of customers service here (and the quick responses to email and phone) was what impressed me the most as it was above and beyond what was expected.
I fully recommend BlueNile for your purchase needs and I show this appreciation by taking the time out to right my personal review.

Well, at first, the diamond that I picked wasn't avaliable but they gave me another one which similar to the one before. I was so surprise that they added so fast to change my order and shipped to me right on time.
The most important thing was the person who receieved the ring with a beautiful and overwhelming smile and a "WOW" face. Now that's a priceless!
Btw, I'm going to tell everyone that I know of and let them buy from you instead of those overpriced retailers.
Purchased a 0.5ct earring for $1500. Applied $25 couopn at checkout. But the 3% Cash Back was reject by merchant because the $25 coupon is "non-commissionable, non-affiliate coupon/promotion". What the ... Bad experience. Will NOT recommend to anyone.

Purchased .91ct princess cut engagement ring for $4111.00. Appraised by independent appraiser at $8325.00...almost $1000 more than THEIR appraisal! Delivery was lightning fast. The only problem I had was that I sent an email after placing my order to make sure the packaging would be unmarked and they didn't respond until the item had shipped...but it was unmarked and all worked out perfectly. Now I'm just hoping for a YES when I pop the question!

Yeah, the ring takes a while to ship, but the price, the service and return policy is very attractive. Will recommand it.

Great site and informational. Staff was very helpful however, I would not recommend if you need something fast or reliable.
Choose several backup diamonds, expect to end up paying a bit more, as they likely will not have the one you want but will have a comparable one slightly more expensive (in my case only $64). Emails and calls were returned promptly.
Oh, there is no overnight delivery. They get diamonds from their suppliers, I was told that the diamond would be there on a tuesday (5 days from my order date). Their supplier forgot to mail it. I wasted a lot of money on reservations and planning after being guaranteed of the date. Partly my fault for cutting it that close, so be wary if you are on a time crunch. Emails at this time have still not been returned.
Without all this would have been a good experience. Had I known when purchasing, I would have gone to a live retailer- you know the diamonds are there and no shipping hassles.
