Surplus Computers has given me the worst online purchasing experience I've ever had. My order was never filled, and no notification was ever given to me that it was not being shipped or back ordered. Of course, my credit card was charged and the money was not refunded.

I tried on literally a dozen occasions, both via email and by phone, to contact their "customer service" to find out what was going on. None of my calls or emails were ever answered.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this store like the plague.

follow up! I ordered a item came to me defective,had very hard time contacting this company,40+ days later recevied new item in the mail still defective(they said they have no way of testing electronic items. So I am stuck with a defective item and they took my money.Sound like a good company hey!! Don't buy from this company unless you want to just give your money away.I did report to my crdit card company.How they do this to people.Fat wallet should boot them off unless they own the site. Good luck if they took your money.

just to say to all that buy from this place,I purchaced a order,one part of it defective,had to send back,month later and still nothing from them,they took my money and nothing in return? beware to all that buy from this internet store,Yes i am very mad

I ordered an item and it was defective,it is so hard to follow their return rules,I spent long time reading all the things I have to do(like I have all the free time in the world to do this!)
One big major problem is you can't talk to a real person,you can leave a voice mail,and you will not get a call back.My oder was made Sep 9,2006 and I am waiting to see if i get my replacement. I think If you work and have things to do,your better to go shopping at WalMart..I am so happy i only spent $12 and its my last time I will.....Good luck to all ....

I ordered 2 CF cards from this company on 07/18. I received an order confirmation, but no further communication. I have sent 2 e-mails asking for order status and tracking number. No replies so far. I will never place an order with them again.

I placed an order for an item at their website and got an acknowledgment. After placing the order, I waited for about 9 days and sent an email asking them the order status. The next day I received a mail from them that the order was canceled!! The reason that they gave that the item was out of stock.

What annoyed me was that first of all they did not bother to communicate that the item was not in stock within next couple of days. They only responded when I asked them the order status! I asked them to backorder the item but there was no communication from them.

What they could have done is, order the out of stock items from their vendors and fill the orders that they had accepted! I don't think that they would suffer a huge loss by doing this, instead it would increase their reputation.

Overall, this business is highly irresponsible and do not care for their customers. They have worst inventory management I've seen across online stores. They also don't take returns of the items either. So think before you leap. For a few more dollars you can buy same item from another store that is more reputable, cares for the customers, and take returns for items.

Please do not buy from this store unless it is okay with you that they cancel your order any time and don't communicate with you!!

I was going to order a video card they have on sale but after reading the reviews here, unless there giving it away it's just not worth it. Thanks FWers.

Purchased item from them and it arrived used and dirty.

Their procedure that they expect customers to follow in case of returns is to download and fill out their RMA form. A customer is instructed to send the form by regular mail, wait for their response. Their response supposed to include so called "RMA number" that needs to be attached to the front of the package that includes returned item.

By filling out the form a customer is expected to voluntarily give up their rights as consumer by accepting their determination if such item is indeed defective. If the item is found by them in acceptable condition, they will charge customer 20% service fee, all shipping fees and item will be returned back to customer COD or credit card will be charged.

I have attempted over a period of four days to contact them by email and voicemail. No response from them.

I strongly advise to avoid this merchant and most certainly not to give up your rights by signing their RMA form.
