I ordered a snes system and 4 games from They quickly charged my visa account. I waited only 5 days called them back since I had not received a conformation of shipping or tracking. That call I was told the items were in stock and would be received early next week and they would e-mail me a tracking number. 3 days later still no tracking number so back I call. Jamie answered again and said the box was shipped, (still no tracking, SO NOT SHIPPED) I then spoke with MGR. (I guy called STEVE) He assured me the package would be shipped that day and I would receive my tracking conformation. The next day I called back got Nicole, (MGR. not in) told her to cancel my order still had not received goods or tracking information. Immediately went to hold for 10 minutes. Nicole NOW comes back with tracking number. I politely tell her I am not paying $37.67 for usps 2 - 3 delivery. She tells me when I receive the goods to refuse it and they will get it back. Not likely, I will send it back with tracking and insurance.

NOTE: "EXPEDITED" shipping means we do not have your merchandise, we don't know when we will but you can keep calling until we finally do ship.

My experience with this company has been the worst out of all the online retailers that I have done business with. Hope you can bear with me.

It started on 5/23/2003, I purchased a Japanese Sega Saturn bundled with 5 games, and a few other sega saturn games. I didn't know how much I would be charged until the next day, and it was almost $300. I stumbled upon their deceptively well designed website after searching the internet for Sega Saturns to buy. I had never had any problems buying things online before so I didn't expect that to start then. Boy was I stupid. After placing the order I didn't recieve any confirmation that they had recieved my order, but I didn't think it was anything big.

On 5/28/2003, before I recieved the first order, stupid me, I ordered 2 limited edition Dreamcast arcade sticks and 2 Dreamcast games, one of which was KOF2002 (preorder). Again, I didn't find out until I checked the charge on my credit card what the total was. It turned out to be about $220.

Well after my credit card was charged, I assumed that the orders had been shipped out. I waited a few days later and still no emails from Buy-Rite and no first order yet. I tried looking up customer reviews about Buy-Rite and I found the horrible reviews of Buy-Rite on reseller ratings. Just reading a few made me want to cut all ties with this retailer. So I tried to contact them by phone, but I could not find any kind of customer service number, and the number listed under my credit card bill was just a recording that hung up after it finished. The only number I could find on their website was a number under their Returns section. So I called the number and it turned out to be a recording, which didn't give me an option to talk to a customer representative. So I chose the option to place an order on the phone, in the hopes that the person would be able to check on the status of my order.

The customer rep. on the phone told me that the order had been processed and he didn't know why it hadn't shipped yet. He said they just needed to get the items from another warehouse. At this point I was getting kind of scared. I told him that I would like to cancel both my orders. He replied that once the order was in the system, you can't cancel it. This seemed kind of weird to me but I let it go. A few more days passed and still no order. I called them up and told them that I needed both orders by 6/06/2003. I told them that if I didn't recieve the orders by then, I had no incentive to keep them and would return them for a full refund. By the 5th, I still had not recieved any emails about shipping of my orders, so I called them again. This time they transferred me to a man named Steve, who I assume now is the manager. He told me that I would recieve my order by tomorrow, the 6th, so we worked out a deal of trading some items for others. Most notably I would get KOF2001 for KOF2002, a credit of the difference between 2001 and 2002 along with credit for the two joysticks. I agreed to this. The next day I recieved my two orders, both in one box, with very little packaging. The saturn was slightly cracked, same with the controller, but both worked. 2 saturn games were horribly scratched and Soul Calibur didn't work. Not to mention all these games were used, which they did not mention on the website. I also found out when I recieved the orders that they had charged me over $40 in shipping.

Now comes the process of returning the items to Buy-Rite for workable copies. I called them up for a return number and sent the 2 saturn games and soul calibur via USPS priority mail with a tracking number. They recieved it on 6/9 and then I called the next day. The rep. said that the return would ship within 48 hours of recieving it. I called them every other day after that because the long distance call was going to kill me, and they always said that they had no information about the status of my return except that it was in the system. Finally on June 27th, I recieved a working copy of Soul Calibur, but I still haven't gotten my two saturn games. I called on the 30th of June again and the customer representative told me again that the return was being processed. I talked with a different person later on, possibly the manager, and he told me that the items had shipped out and I would recieve them by 7/4. We'll see how that goes.

Overall, consumers should be cautious of this company. I feel fortunate that I recieved almost my entire order after much hassling, compared to other people who haven't gotten anything, much less an email from Buy-Rite. This business falsely advertises products on their website, putting items that aren't even in stock to entice consumers. Even worse, they don't even send you good copies of your games. Oh yeah, and don't bother calling them on weekends. Their work hours seem to be M-F, 11 AM to 5 PM EST. Stay away from Buy-Rite!

I ordered two products from Buy-Rite Video. As of four weeks i have not recieved the orders or heard anything about them . Buyer Beware. They have hundreds of complaints against them for non delivery of items. They are a bunch of crooks. They do not answer e-mails or anything at all.

Buyritegames is terrible avoid them at all cost they have the worst service known to man you will never get a hold of anyone no matter how hard you try they will charge your credit card and you still wont get your shippment now i have to call my credit card company and complain to try and get my money back they suck and they dont have of the products they say they have online.

Buyrite = get ripped offrite someone should report them to the better business bureau.

This company has horrible service. First, they have items not in stock listed on their website. Then, they don't tell you for a week that your items are not in stock and that your order is cancelled. Finally, they never reply to any emails.. I've written them several times to take down the game that isn't in stock and they haven't done anything. I've had three orders cancelled and will never order from them again.
